Like many other gamers we’ve completed Uncharted 3 while enjoying an amazing story with characters that left lasting memories, which felt like watching a really long movie and kept us hooked. The humor made the game even better and felt like you were at the cinema when watching the cut-scenes, although it’s not easy to find another game with that kind of movie feeling while playing and watching.

Max Payne 3 looks explosive and has the cinematic appeal to entertain Uncharted 3 veterans – if you loved UC3 then there’s a good chance you’ll find the same movie feeling in Max Payne 3, which has had some extensive research done during the making of the game to give you something that is both believable and immersive.

In our opinion there hasn’t been a game with the humor and cinematic experience like Uncharted 3, since that game released, but all that is about to change on May 15 when Max Payne 3 is released. This game will feel like a movie just as UC3 did, and be the one you’ve been waiting for thanks to the developers explaining the whole game “will feel like a movie“.

There will be many gamers looking forward to the game this year, but CVG are reporting that Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two, has revealed that the Max Payne 3 title has been pushed back two months. Instead of the expected release of March 2012, gamers will now have to wait until May.

The company has revealed the reasons behind their decision and said it is to “ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality”. With this news of the game being pushed out of the financial quarter will now mean that Take-Two is expected to announce a loss for 2012.

The company added that it doesn’t make alterations to its release schedule easily, and the slight delay will make sure that the game offers “the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our Company”.

CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, said that the game is likely to be one of the developers “most exciting releases to date”, and feels gamers will be “amazed by Rockstar’s ability to take interactive entertainment to another level.”

With Max Payne being delayed it makes you wonder if the same may happen to GTA 5. Even though there has never been a date revealed by the company, some have suggested it could come in time for this year’s E3 event in June. Update: Max Payne 3′s new release dates have been revealed as May 15 in US, May 18 worldwide and for PC on May 29 in US and June 1 worldwide.

For those of you who don’t know, Max Payne 3 will be releasing some time in March next year, making a GTA V release during the early stages of 2012 very unlikely. We gave you some new release date rumors for GTA V yesterday here, as a release during the late stages of Summer seems more likely to happen now, since Rockstar will be focusing on getting Max Payne 3 out first of all.

As for this new trailer – wow. Rockstar really know how to pump up an audience via a teaser trailer, and this close look at how animations will work in the game definitely serves up a treat for fans of the franchise. Rockstar provides commentary throughout the trailer, and if you haven’t played any of the previous Max Payne games, you should know that Rockstar tends to shift a heavy focus on producing a quality storyline-driven mode, which is what you’ll get an idea of if you watch the trailer below.

Rockstar touts the ‘cinematic quality’ of the game’s story mode and included cutscenes, and the voice-acting is pretty believable too – although Rockstar are well known for their good choice of actors to portray video game characters – Ray Liotta as Tommy Vercetti in GTA: Vice City for a prime example. Rockstar devotes a good portion of the trailer to demonstrate the new combat mechanics of Max Payne – to put it simply, think Uncharted but with much tighter animations and of course, much more violence.

You’ll be pleased to know that bullet-time is once again featured in Max Payne 3, and you’ll see that Rockstar has added a few bullet-time finishing animations to the game, in which players will see a different bullet-time animation, depending on which weapon the player is using. Needless to say, it looks like great fun.

Now Rockstar have released 12 new images from the game (all of which can be seen here) and have created a website dedicated to the game which we think finalizes the argument about a release coming soon. The images tease about possible plots and features in the game which may build a picture of the gameplay.

It is possible that the gamer in this title will be able to use blind-firing round corners, fire from the floor and dive through the air while shooting if the pictures are to reflect the gameplay. Even if the pictures are even for promotional purposes and do not tell us what can be done in the game, they are still enough to cause excitement about this title.

It has been 8 years since the release of the last game Max Payne 2 after being recieved pretty well by the critics so it is nice to see another title being announced to follow-up the two games previously. The game has just been revealed in the latest edition of EDGE magazine, and with it, a collection of previously unknown details for the game, as reported from VG247. The biggest of these by far, is the addition of an online multiplayer mode – although specific details on how this will work were not mentioned in EDGE’s report on the game. Just so you’re aware though, Max Payne 2 did not feature a multiplayer mode, so fans of the franchise will know how much of a big deal this is to have it included for Max Payne 3.

Other details include the return of bullet-time gameplay, a brand new cover system, a wheel based-weapon selection tool and wait for it, destructible environments – that’s what we’re talking about.

Unfortunately, the information didn’t reveal any details on when the game would be coming out. Our guesses, is that Rockstar are saving this until E3 2011, which kicks off at the start of June. We’re not sure about you, but we can’t wait to hear official details on the game.

The game was originally meant to arrive in 2009, however has been held back for ‘development time’. We are taking these screenshots as a sign towards the game’s release being finalized and more information coming soon we hope from Rockstar.

The giant game developer most notable for the creation of the Grand Theft Auto series and their most recent project L.A Noire, have said they have started a new chapter in Max’s life. “This is Max as we’ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever.” one Rockstar representative has said.

Fans of the old titles should definitely still be excited to hear more from this latest title as we imagine it will build on the solid foundations set by previous Max Payne video games, perhaps we will we hear more in the coming months or see the game in action at E3 2011.

This delay should be a good thing in the long run, it means that the developer is spending the time to make it as good as possible, which should mean that the final product fulfill it’s potential.

Not much more information was given about the delay, but it seems (for now) that the other three titles are safe. Mafia II is due for release at the end of August, along with L.A. Noire and Civ V which are due to hit shelves sometime in Q4, usually meaning around October.
