All of the following Razer products will become available in March, PC gamers will apparently benefit from utilizing Razer’s Mass Effect 3 BlackWidow keyboard, Imperator mouse and Vespula mouse mat, we can’t vouch for just how much these peripherals will help you during your Mass Effect 3 campaign – but you can’t ignore the technical specifications and features which the keyboard and mouse will bring when compared to standard offerings.

Let’s start with the ‘Mass Effect 3 Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard’. This keyboard will set you back $139.99 and for this hefty price tag you’ll get full mechanical keys with actuation force of 50g, all of which are backlit with 5 levels of brightness. As with many other gaming keyboards this model offers programmable keys with macro recording, customizable software profiles, gaming mode and 1ms response times. In terms of design you can see the keyboard below.

As you’d expect there’s a Mass Effect 3-inspired design and the ‘N7’ logo, also you can just about make out that it connects via USB and there’s USB-passthrough along with headphone and microphone jacks. In terms of size and weight it measures in at 475 x 171 x 30mm and it weighs 1.5kg.

If you buy the Mass Effect 3 keyboard you should also seriously consider the ‘ Mass Effect 3 Razer Imperator Ergonomic Gaming Mouse’, this features a 6400dpi 4G Dual Sensor which should ensure that you’re on target when battling it out with the enemies you meet in ME3. There’s also adjustable side buttons, 200 inches per second acceleration, sensitivity adjustment, Hyperesponse buttons, onboard memory, rubberized grips and mouse feet which deliver low resistance. Below you can see this mouse in all its glory, it connects via USB and measures in at 123 x 71 x 42mm – again it is decorated with ME3 artwork. This mouse will cost you $79.99.

The Imperator mouse goes hand-in-hand with another Razer product, the Vespula Dual-Sided Gaming Mouse Mat. At $34.99 we’ll forgive you for turning your nose up at this price, but if you do buy it you’ll get two surfaces, one for speed, the other for control – both of which are non-slip, anti-reflective and abrasion-resistant . When using this mouse mat you should stay RSI free thanks to a gel-filled wrist rest. The design is pretty eye-catching, you can see it below.

Finally we will quickly tell you about two peripherals for the Xbox 360, the Mass Effect 3 Razer Chimaera 5.1 wireless gaming headset will also work with the PC (we reviewed a similar headset here) and the Razer Onza Torunament Edition controller which can also be plugged into your PC. The Onza controller is just-like other variants, however this time round it has a Mass Effect-inspired design to accompany the adjustable analog sticks, additional programmable buttons and hyperesponse action buttons – it costs $59.99, whilst the Chimaera headset costs a whopping $209.99 and delivers rich sound with its 50mm drivers, this is a wireless headset and allows you to customize voice and game sound levels to suit your preference.

Head over to Razer’s Mass Effect 3 pages to find all the details regarding the peripherals which we’ve spoken about in this brief article, also there’s a Messenger Bag and iPhone protection case to check out, they cost $79.99 and $24.99 respectively, again we think the prices may put off a lot of potentional customers. No-matter which you choose to buy you will get a code to unlock the Deadly Collector Assault rifle and multiplayer content packs.

Who is your favorite game peripheral manufacturer?

Mass Effect 3 multiplayer classes, powers & talents dissected http://www.product-reviews.net/2012/01/30/mass-effect-3-multiplayer-classes-powers-talents-dissected/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2012/01/30/mass-effect-3-multiplayer-classes-powers-talents-dissected/#comments Mon, 30 Jan 2012 11:43:27 +0000 Jamie Pert http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=148101 If you’re looking forward to the arrival of Mass Effect 3 you will probably be keen to find out more about the game’s multiplayer elements, well today we are going to take a look at the classes which players will be able to choose from.

Recently a video was released by the guys at BioWare which gave us a glimpse of some of the game’s many classes which are available to choose from, as you would expect there’s different races which posses different unique attributes. We are also told that whilst playing ME3 you will be able to level up the characters to level 20 and utilize skill branches much like you do in single-player mode to customize your character’s abilities.

Sadly we don’t know all the little details, but here’s a breakdown of what we know so far:

If you choose to play as a Human Soldier you will have access to frag grenades and be able to use adrenaline rush and concussive shots.

Quarian Engineers will boast incineration and cryo blast abilities and also have sentry turrets at their disposal.

Drell Vanguard characters will boast cluster grenades, biotic charge and ‘pull’.

Turian Sentinals look like a fun class to play as, they will be protected by tech armor and also boast overload the overload capabilities to take out an enemies shield, that’s not all as this class can also warp.

Asari Vanguards will have lift grenades, the biotic charge power and the sought-after ‘stasis’ talent.

Salarian Inflitrator characters boast energy drain and tactical cloak powers, they will also be able to lay tactical mines.

Finally we can tell you about Krogan soldiers, these can take lots of damage at times thanks to their fortification power and then obliterate the enemy apart with the carnage talent, they will also have inferno grenades.

We’re not sure how many more classes there will be in Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, or whether that’s them all – therefore we will have to keep you posted as we hear more. If you’re not sure what a particular power does which is mentioned in this post you should check out this link for all the relevant information, whilst this page should clear up any questions you may have about the many talents available.

Which class do you think you will play as first?

Mass Effect 3 DLC & game insight from BioWare exec http://www.product-reviews.net/2012/01/11/mass-effect-3-dlc-game-insight-from-bioware-exec/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2012/01/11/mass-effect-3-dlc-game-insight-from-bioware-exec/#comments Wed, 11 Jan 2012 18:36:20 +0000 Jamie Pert http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=147258 It is no secret that Mass Effect 3 will be the final chapter in Shephard’s story, however if you thought that would pretty much mean that downloadable-content for the game would be multiplayer-centric, think again. Recently GameInformer spoke to BioWare’s executive producer, Casey Hudson, and he let slip a few thing which we can expect from Mass Effect 3 DLC.

Firstly don’t get too excited as Hudson was being very careful with his words, but he did admit that BioWare take feedback from the community very seriously, this inspires them to add content which many people have wished for – so if there is something which you would love to see brought to the game via add-ons you should get vocal on the BioWare forums etc.

We can confirm that there will be both multiplayer and single-player downloadable content, we have added an extract from the conversation which revealed this below:

There’s some multiplayer stuff, but we’re also planning some DLC on the single-player side, because it did really good in Mass Effect 2. The adventure-type DLC will happen in the time frame of Mass Effect 3, within your Mass Effect 3 storyline. It’s similar to how with Mass Effect 2, if you had a saved game from anywhere inside the game, you could go on to the DLC.

As you can see it seems as if BioWare has a lot planned in regards to Mass Effect 3 DLC, we don’t quite know what to expect in regards to single-player DLC, but we expect side-quests which tie into the game’s storyline. Also something pretty interesting is that when you start Mass Effect 3 you will be able to choose between three game modes: action, roleplaying, and story – apparently you can’t lose in story mode as it is designed for people who are playing the game for the story experience, by the looks of things you will be able to change this setting when your playing the game. If you are playing the game in action mode it will enable automatic-dialogue so that more of your time will be spent battling it out with the enemy rather than becoming involved with the storyline.

Do you like the sound of three different game modes? What sort of DLC would you like to see? Let us know in the comments section below.

Mass Effect 3 demo release date info and early access multiplayer http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/10/21/mass-effect-3-demo-release-date-info-and-early-access-multiplayer/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/10/21/mass-effect-3-demo-release-date-info-and-early-access-multiplayer/#comments Fri, 21 Oct 2011 12:50:06 +0000 Jamie Pert http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=143481 With so many impressive games scheduled for release before the year is out, it is easy to forget about some of the blockbusters which are set to arrive in early 2012, one of which is BioWare’s Mass Effect 3 – today we have finally head some information regarding the game’s demo.

Over at the BioWare forums it has been confirmed that the demo will launch sometime in January 2012 and will be available in all regions where the game will arrive, details regarding platforms have not yet been disclosed, but we would imagine it will be downloadable via Xbox Live, PSN and Origin. The demo will allow gamers to get some hands-on time with both single and multi-player elements before the game arrives on March 6, 2012.

BioWare has also said that if you buy Battlefield 3, on any platform, you will qualify for early access to the multiplayer section of the Mass Effect 3 demo, people who have pre-ordered ME3 are complaining as they think they deserve early access to this – we agree and it looks likely as part of the announcement stated this: “There will be another program whereby players and fans of the Mass Effect franchise can unlock this early access”.

We are told that the exact demo launch date will be announced in late November, where we will also find out how long the early access will last, therefore we will keep you posted as we hear more. If you check out this link you can see all of the demo related information.

Do you think pre-orders of Mass Effect 3 should make you eligible for the early access?

Mass Effect 3: Developer teases possible demo http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/07/11/mass-effect-3-developer-teases-possible-demo/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/07/11/mass-effect-3-developer-teases-possible-demo/#comments Mon, 11 Jul 2011 21:14:41 +0000 Tina Chubb http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=136561 A lot of Mass Effect fans were left feeling rather disappointed at the beginning of last month, when they discovered that they would actually have to wait until March 6th, 2012 for the much-anticipated Mass Effect 3 game to arrive in stores worldwide. However, it looks as though there is a bit of good news on the horizon, as there could well be a demo on the way.

While responding to a fan’s tweet on Twitter recently, the game’s director Casey Hudson briefly hinted that there could well be more news arriving in the coming months regarding a Mass Effect 3 demo. However, as Anthony Taormina from gamerant.com notes, since Twitter only allows up to 140 characters, Hudson unfortunately didn’t add any more information.

There is also the question of where fans might be able to experience the Mass Effect 3 demo if one was to be released. With the Mass Effect 3 game being a multi-platform title (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows), a multi-platform demo release seems possible. Although we still have to take it with a pinch of salt at the moment, as a demo may not even happen.

If you’ve been following all the latest Mass Effect 3 news, you’ll know that there is another way that gamers can test out the game a few months before its release. As we mentioned in a previous article, BioWare’s upcoming action role-playing game will be one of the many playable games at this year’s Eurogamer Expo, which is due to take place at Earls Court starting on September 22nd.

The Mass Effect 3 game follows the events of Mass Effect 2’s ‘Arrival’ DLC, and will be influenced by decisions from the previous 2 titles. The locations found in the Mass Effect 3 game include the Asari homeworld Thessia and the Salarian homeworld of Sur’Kesh. The game will also see the return of characters such as Garrus Vakarian, Legion and Captain Anderson.

Not only will there be a Standard Edition and a special N7 Collector’s Edition of the Mass Effect 3 game, but there has also been an announcement of a ‘Digital Deluxe Edition,’ which according to Joe Martin over at bit-tech.net is exclusive to Electronic Arts’ Origin digital distribution platform. The Digital Deluxe Edition has been priced up at £54.99.

You can read more about the Digital Deluxe Edition over on the bit-tech.net website. Are you hoping that BioWare releases a demo for the Mass Effect 3 game?

Lots More Mass Effect 3 Screens Show Up on Russian Website http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/05/04/lots-more-mass-effect-3-screens-show-up-on-russian-website/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/05/04/lots-more-mass-effect-3-screens-show-up-on-russian-website/#comments Wed, 04 May 2011 10:40:32 +0000 Jamie Pert http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=129604 A few days ago we posted an article which showed you the first-ever Mass Effect 3 screenshots, now we have even more screens to show you which recently showed up on a Russian website called Igromania.ru (click on the link to see them all).

There are 8 screens in total and we have embedded two of the best at the end of this post, like the last screens we showed you the graphics look great and the lighting effects are very realistic. Lots of the screens show Commander Shepherd battling it out against the Reapers, have you spotted anything significant in the screens?

On the Russian website there is a huge amount of text, we translated it using Google Translate and it didn’t make a huge amount of sense, so rather than get things wrong we will reveal more when we hear more from an English source, all we could make out is that changes have been made to the combat system.

Check out the screens for yourself below, do you think that the jump in graphics is greatly significant when compared to Mass Effect 2?
