The decision was made by the folks at MLB who have decided to allow users to watch selected games until the end of the month which is also the end of the pre-season games, all free of charge. The video shown on the facebook page will not be resizable unless you then signed up to the MLB site and watch the stream from there.

The plan is a cunning tactic to test the promotional power that Facebook has and it has logic to it. Facebook already has a large percentage of the world’s entire population online and can act as a customer base for many companies, therefore millions of people will get used to watching baseball from their computer / tablet/

The streaming is not permanent however and a similar idea has already been thought of by the UFC. The idea however is to attract enough attention to the free games in order to make people want to spend money on viewing the in-season games when they begin.
