Since getting some hands on time with OnLive at the annual EuroGamer Expo at Earls Court, London, we have been keeping a close eye on the game streaming service, today we have great news for you as six indie title are being added to the OnLive game library.

These games should be popular additions, firstly we can confirm that Limbo is on its way, this puzzle-platformer has been a very popular offering on Xbox Live, PSN and Steam, therefore OnLive gamers will be happy to hear that it is in bound. Another great game which is on its way is Bastion, this is an action RPG which has received great from reviews from the harshest of critics.

The other four games are Avadon: The Black Fortress, Magicka, Orcs Must Die and Space Chem. Perhaps the most popular out of these is Magicka, up until now this game has only been available for PC, but initial sales were promising and we think that a launch on OnLive will bring even more success to the game’s developer, Arrowhead Game Studios.

Here is a quote from John Spinale, OnLive’s VP of games, when speaking about indies:

“Simply put, they’re making some really great, innovative games these days. We love bringing amazing new experiences to our OnLive members, and also helping innovative developers get their ideas out to a larger, more diverse audience of gamers. Win-win.”

We currently have no details regarding prices and release dates, therefore we will have to keep you posted as we hear more. We will definitely be checking out these games when they arrive, if your not sure which game to buy don’t forget there will be free 30 minute trials available.

You can find out a little bit more about OnLive’s love for indies over at JoyStiq, which other indie games would you like to hit OnLive? Minecraft anyone?

We have some really exciting news now for those of you that are fans of Arrowhead Game Studios’ hugely popular action-adventure game Magicka, as we’ve just heard that both a release date and the E3 2011 trailer for the upcoming PvP patch has recently been revealed.

As noted by Mike Fahey over at kotaku.com, the free player-versus-player patch will be arriving on June 21st, and will provide players with the Training Ground and Arena maps. Those who don’t mind spending a little money can also purchase the new Final Frontier Map Pack upon release of the PvP.

The Final Frontier Map Pack will add the Frozen Lake, Vulcanus Arena and Watch Tower maps to the Magicka game. Meanwhile, player-versus-player comes in three different types: Brawl Mode, Classic Deathmatch and Kreitor Mode, which is named after a fan that modded the game.

Instead of killing your companions by accident, Classic Deathmatch will have you killing them on purpose. Classic Deathmatch enables up to four players to fight it out in a one mage takes all battle. In Brawl Mode, each player / team is given a set amount of lives and the last wizard standing is declared the winner.

Finally, the round based Kreitor Mode unlocks Magicks at certain intervals during the game, forcing gamers to come up with brand new strategies as new spells are made available. You can view the new trailer below this post. Are you looking forward to the upcoming PvP update?

Since its release, Magicka has become an instant hit with RPG fans all over the gaming world. So much so, that even the developers did not envision the popularity it has gained which has lead to many talks regarding future DLC releases, and the possibility of the game being released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

With its impressive conception on the PC, the Arrowhead team behind the game have made it frequently known that they wish for Magicka to be made available to all gamers, which means expanding the release to other consoles such as the Xbox 360 and PS3.

According to Joystiq, who spoke with the Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt, they say that the console version is very much already in the works, and the only roadblock thus far comes down to Microsoft and Sony who are yet undecided on whether the game will come out on their respective consoles.

This is what Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt had to say when asked what the delay was down to: -

“We’re working on bringing Magicka to consoles — we are, really. The problem is that it’s not up to us. It’s up to Sony and Microsoft, really, but we’re working on getting it to consoles. That’s the way it should be played.”

Magicka, with impresive sales of over 200,000 copies since its release on January 25 costs just $9.99 from Steam, and is a bargin for any RPG enthusiast.

Have you played Magicka yet? What are your views on it’s unique playstyle? Would you prefer to play this if it was released on your console of choice?

Magicka, the online action-adventure video game has been making impressive sales figures since its release on January 25, RPG fans have seemed to have flooded to Arrowhead’s game, selling 200,000 copies in the first 17 days of its sale.

The success of the title has spurred the developers on to wanting to create more DLC for the game. In an interview with Big Download the developers said “The Arrowhead team asked if they could be a bit daring when it comes to the DLC and we told them yes.” “The team is set up in such a way that some guys can keep patching the game while others produce DLC, without getting in the way of each other or stealing resources from one another.” These are telling signs to gamers that DLC is well on its way, some being free and some not.

At the moment we have no idea as to when DLC will be released, however it is nice to know that Paradox Interactive and Arrowhead are happy with the game’s reception, if you have not played it yet a free demo is available on Steam, the game itself costs just $9.99 you can find out more and perhaps buy it here.

As we hear more information regarding Magicka DLC we will keep you updated, have you been impressed by Magicka?
