Back at the beginning of June we told you about the upcoming Limited Edition Gears of War 3 Xbox 360 bundle, which as we mentioned comes with a price tag of $399. For those of you that haven’t read the article in question, the bundle comes with a special Gears of War branded Xbox 360 (with 320GB hard drive), two GoW 3-branded wireless controllers and a copy of the game.

We now have some more exciting news for those of you that are waiting for the Gears of War 3 game to arrive as according to Chris Carlson over at ripten.com, peripheral manufacturer Mad Catz has just unveiled a new range of licensed ‘Gears of War 3’ gaming headsets for the Xbox 360, which are expected to arrive alongside the game when it launches in September this year.

The most expensive product on the list is the Gears of War 3 7.1 Dolby surround sound headset, which comes with official GoW 3 artwork and a price tag of $179.99. This model is performance-tuned for Xbox Live voice chat, and comes with independent game and voice volume controls, pulsating LED lighting effects and a detachable, flexible microphone with mute.

An added bonus with the Gears of War 3 7.1 Dolby surround sound headset is the Selective Voice Monitoring (SVM), which provides users with the option of hearing their own voice through the headset. Next up on the list is the Gears of War 3 performance stereo gaming headset, which comes with a price tag of $99.99. This model also comes with official GoW 3 artwork.

This noise-isolating headset comes with luxurious padding and an adjustable headrail. Other features include precision-balanced 40mm audio drivers, a detachable, flexible microphone with mute and independent voice and game volume controls. The final model on the list is the $29.99 Gears of War 3 Throat Communicator, which features a behind-the-neck design.

The Gears of War 3 throat communicator also comes with integrated mute and volume controls, crystal-clear sound and communication quality and a customizable neckband with foam-rubber inserts. As Justin Rubio from IGN reports, Mad Catz will be previewing the new range at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International.

You can check out images of the headsets over on the ripten.com website. Do you like the sound of any of these licensed Gears of War 3 headsets?

What’s the first thing that springs to mind when you think about Mad Catz? Gaming accessories right? That won’t be the only thing you think of in the future however, as the gaming peripheral manufacturer has now decided to branch out into video game development.

According to a recent gamerant.com article by J.C. Reeves, Mad Catz announced their very first game during the E3 2011 convention that took place last week. The game in question is War Wings: Hell Catz, which is said to be an aerial combat game similar to Crimson Skies and Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X.

We have good news for those of you that are interested in learning more about the War Wings: Hell Catz game, as the very first teaser trailer has now debuted online. The game – which takes place during World War II – promises to provide players with a variety of unique missions to complete.

Mad Catz will be publishing the War Wings: Hell Catz game, while the development is being left to Australian developer TrickStar Games. The game may not be launching until sometime next year, but that doesn’t appear to have stopped Mad Catz from planning sequels already.

You can view the teaser trailer via the gamerant.com website. What do you think about the War Wings: Hell Catz game from what you can see on the brief video?

Are you thinking about buying a new wireless Xbox 360 gaming headset? If you are, you might be pleased to know that peripheral manufacturer Mad Catz has just unveiled three new Tritton Xbox 360 gaming headsets: the Devastator, the Warhead 7.1 and the Detonator.

As Scott Lowe at IGN reports, both the Devastator and the Warhead 7.1 headsets come with a specialized wireless base station, which only uses 2 cables to connect it to the Xbox 360 console. They also utilize 5.8 GHz wireless technology, to provide users with clearer and stronger connectivity.

The Warhead 7.1 and Devastator’s base station also accepts auxiliary input from smartphones or iPods, and can feed audio to 4 headsets simultaneously. Both these headsets also support three different listening modes including music, movies and gaming.

Although all three of the headsets utilize stereo 50mm drivers, it’s only the Warhead 7.1 that supports Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital and Dolby Headphone decoding for simulated surround sound. The Devastator and the Detonator headsets only produce stereo audio.

All three headsets come with active voice monitoring, removable boom microphones with easy-to-reach mute buttons and an LED light at the end, to indicate when the microphone is active. They also come with streamlined headband padding and ear cups that turn inwards.

You can read more about the three new headsets via the IGN website. Would you buy the Warhead 7.1, Devastator or Detonator headsets?

Some gamers believe that you can’t play fighting games properly with your console’s standard controller, if you are one of these people we have some great news for you regarding a new FightStick which will be available ahead of the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 release.

5,000 Marvel vs. Capcom 3 FightSticks have been produced by Mad Catz, apparently if you head over to the GameShark store in a few days time you should be able to buy yours, going on previous FightStick prices it will cost roughly $150 and will arrive before MvC3 comes out in North America (February 15th).

Below we have embedded a photo of Mad Catz’s Marvel vs. Capcom 3 FightStick, the Xbox 360 version will probably feature and an integrated headset port, also both the PS3 and 360 versions will undoubtedly feature authentic Sanwa Denshi buttons and joystick.

One comment on JoyStiq suggests that the FightStick is identical to the Street Fighter 4 FightStick the only difference being being the artwork, you can see a photos of the SF4 FightStick here along with a product description and full list of features, perhaps the MvC3 stick will be very similar.

We will be keeping a close on GameShark to see when the fightstick becomes available, when we find out we will keep you posted. How much are you willing to spend on a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 FightStick?
