The console version was released back in May on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

As reported from Eurogamer, Capcom has revealed that the PC version will be released on October 15th. Interestingly, a preview of the PC game is available over on the official NVIDIA website.

If you head to their site, you’ll be able to see how the game looks with DirectX 11 and NVIDIA 3D Vision combined. If you are thinking of picking up the game, you’ll have to have a speedy unit to take full advantage of the game’s visuals. Eurogamer state that an Intel Core2 Quad or AMD Phenom x4 processor is recommended for play.

The download itself is 537 MB in size and is freely available to all Xbox Live Gold members, this multiplayer demo allows 16 players to battle it out with new weapons on a new map, this map is called Turbulent Jungle.

The demo allows you to play two different game modes, these game modes were featured in the first Lost Planet game, they are Elimination and Post Grab.

As reported from Eurogamer, the demo features gameplay on the Turbulent Map, and supports the full 16-players – way to go Capcom. Furthermore, there are two types of multiplayer mode available in the demo: these are Elimination and Post Grab.

The demo is only 537MB so it shouldn’t take you too long to download at all. You can even queue it up from the Xbox website if you prefer.

For fans of the first game, you won’t want to miss out on this. The full game is out May 11th. Let us know your thoughts on the demo after downloading. Don’t forget the new video we showed you earlier too.

As reported from VG247, the two maps featured are Helix and Back to the Island respectively, with both available to download from the PS Store and Live Marketplace on May 11th.

The video is also a welcome change for those recent cut scene trailers we have been used to seeing for the game, nothing but some solid gameplay action here.

What are your thoughts on the new maps? They look pretty good, widescale and plenty of space for tactical battles to take place.

As reported from VG247, the game will now be available on May 11th – affecting only the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. The PC version is still due out this fall.

You don’t often hear developers announcing early release dates for games, so way to go Capcom. This is good news for everyone who were planning to pick the game up on May 18th.

As VG247 rightly points out, the music featured within the trailer is making me want to buy it already. I’m a sucker for the epic music – I’ll admit it.

As for the trailer itself, there is plenty on offer in terms of gameplay, cutscenes, a look at weapon customization, co-op mode and a good look at the characters and enemies features in the game.

If you are thinking of getting the game on either PS3 or Xbox 360 on May 18th, this trailer is simply unmissable. Let us know your thoughts on it.

Capcom just confirmed that split-screen co-op will be featured within Lost Planet 2.

As reported from Eurogamer, split-screen co-op will follow the same sort of gameplay that you became familiar with in Resident Evil 5. Thats great for us, since we loved that mode.

On top of split-screen co-op, you’ll also get four player online co-op and a standard 16-man online modes to play around with.

As reported from VG247, Lost Planet 2 producer Jun Takeuchi revealed that the team ran into problems relating to editing and similar issues.

In a recent interview he states: “There wasn’t especially any big trouble. More than those kind of difficulties, the edited content was way too much and dealing with that was more difficult than anything,”

However, the main talking point for us, is the revelation that this cut content could feature as DLC sometime in the future.

Its probably safe to say that the content has been cut from ALL platforms of the game, not just 360. Let us know your reaction to this.
