September 4, 2008 by Nikki
It was only last month that LG announced the new LG KC910 handset, we had heard whispers before but was great news we got it actually confirmed by LG themselves.
The LG KC910 is the first handset that’s for the global market that includes Dolby Music, this will bring clean powerful base and richness to your music listening experience. It’s also the thinnest 8-megapixel handset on the market at 13.95mm.
Taking a good look at the spec of the LG-KC910 Viewty successor, we see it have a 8-megapixel camera (which also have a Schneider-Kreuznach certified optics and a Xenon flash), a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen, video recording, integrated Wi-Fi, geotagging support, Dolby Mobile, A-GPS and 7.2Mbps HSDPA. We have no idea of price though, but we do know that this handsome phone should be with us around October, watch this space!

LG have been using the IFA for lots of their new product announcements, and of course they couldn’t resist refreshing our memories on the latest plasma screen from LG the PG7000.
Already announced this year and thought to be released in July, LG decided to give us a bit more information, the look of this TV being slick and sleek, it actually looks more like a sheet of dark tinted glass than a TV.
You can purchase the TV in two sizes either a 50 inch or 60 inch, it has a 1080p full HD panel that has a colour depth of 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. So if you want your blacks to look black rather than dark grey then this is the TV for you.
If you want to watch the TV for more extended periods and be comfortable in doing so, then you can as this plasma features a 100Hz refresh rate and .001ms response time, meaning the TV can keep up with fast moving games, movies and sport with no blur. These features also eliminate flicker, so your eyes will feel better and not so strained.
You can chose between different AV modes on the LG, allowing you to chose a specific mode for what you are watching, for example movies or games, the LG will adjust to give you the best viewing experience possible.
You can connect several devices to your TV, including Bluetooth connectivity, USB and a memory card reader - completely plug and play. Four HDMI 1.3 ports also provide enough connections for a number of high-definition sources.
You also get LG’s Voice technology is included as standard on the PG7000, which basically modifies the sound balance to emphasise human voices and cut through the background noise. We are still waiting for the full spec and pricing information, but as always we will keep you informed as and when we receive it.

LG announced at the IFA in Germany that they are getting into the netbook arena.
Oddly, LG who was not expected to make the announcement until Friday, released a generic press release and forgot to omit the details, all we can see on the press release is what the company is going to show us as Europe’s largest consumer electronics show.
According to the press release the will be calling the new model the X110 and this will come with 3G HSDPA connectivity embedded.
According by information given by LG “3G embedded features combined with WLAN 802.11 b/g and 10/100 Ethernet for stable and fast connections means users can communicate and share information any time, any way, any place.”
LG have also told reporters that the netbook will sport a massive 80GB hard drive, and it’s rumoured that the netbook will be powered by an Intel Atom Chip.
Excuse us for the shortage of information, the minute we get more details we will pass it straight onto you.

Filed under Computer Hardware, Computers, LCD Monitors

This new monitor from LG, the W2252TE claims its ‘the world’s most eco-friendly monitor’ as it power consumption is considerably less than that of its competitors.
For such a confident claim, it actually can back that up which some important statistics which confirm that the monitor does indeed cut power costs by a lot. Tests over at SmartPlanet concluded that the monitor used about 19.4 watts, if you compare that with the standard monitor from dell using 44.6 watts that is a very considerable difference and an impressive feature indeed.
They also said the monitor’s other aspects performed ‘above average’ and contained all the features that you would expect in a standard LCD.
There is no information on pricing for this monitor yet, but I’m sure details will be announced soon since its due to hit retail stores next month. Head on over to SmartPlanet for more details for this product.

Hands on: LG KF750 Secret Mobile Phone & Game Video

Over the past two weeks I have been reviewing the LG KF750 Mobile Phone that has been designed to perform to the highest standard and look great which I can reveal it does just that. The LG KF750 combines its stylish design with a very clear LCD. The LCD gives you an interactive experience that I am sure you will be very happy with.
My first impression of the KF750 was that it has a great design and is a similar size to my old phone which was the LG KF600 (101.2×50.7×14.1mm), now I thought that phone was great apart from the mirror screen that made it hard to see outside. Despite the fact that the LG KF750 still has a kind of mirror screen you can still see it outside which is great Read more

LG have decided to show of their third Black Label cell phone, the handset as yet does not have a model name or number. The handset does not looks the sexiest on the market, but this slim handset comes with a host of great technical features that more than make up for it.
This slider phone comes with a 5 megapixel camera, and wants to become the slimmest slider, taking that crown for the Samsung G600. The screen has been reinforced with the casing being made from carbon fiber for looks and for strength.
The new LG Black Label will be available in Europe first and will hit South Korea later this year.

LG links up six monitors via USB

If you have used a multi monitor set-up then you will be totally aware of how much more productivity you have by doing this.
Well LG have now launched a 20.1 inch wide-screen display which connects to your PC via USB.
It’s said that the USB standard is just compatible with Windows at the moment, but you can connect up to six of these screens to your PC and have a 6 screen display.
The only downside of USB driven monitors is that no graphics card is used, but they do work great for general type work.
What do you think of this idea?
New LG twisty-fold clamshell phone: copy of the Casio W53CA

Filed under Cell Phone Information, Handsets

LG have announced that they are to offer us a follow up to their LH2300 Touch Web phone; however one thing puzzles me about this twisty-fold clamshell, why does it look just like the Casio W53CA.
It seems that there is no stopping LG when it comes to packing features on their cell phones. This particular handset has a 5.1 megapixel with a CMOS sensor as well as a 28-mm lens. LG have also added anti-shake technology just like on their Viewty as well as 9-point auto focus.
This new clamshell cell phone has 2.8-inch LCD screen with a pixel resolution of 800 x 480. The phone is 18.9mm thick and features web browsing and a microSD slot for extra storage.

LG Viewty goes Pink: more colors on the way
March 14, 2008 by Peter
Filed under Cell Phone Information, Handsets

When LG launched their Viewty touchscreen cell phone the color available was black, however they then come out with a silver version. Both these colors were nice but they do not appeal to the ladies that are why in the coming weeks LG are to release a Viewty Pink.
And LG have also announced that more colors are on the way, but give no details as to what colors will be available. The specs of the handset has not changed, which I see as a problem. Although the Viewty is great phone, I think that it lacks Wi-Fi; you would have thought that LG would do an updated version.
