We have reported on digital cameras in the past, including the Nikon Coolpix S205, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 and the Cannon PowerShot SX30. Now we wanted to inform you of another camera, one that is in another league to those aforementioned, lets look at why.

This is the world’s highest resolution camera, it’s called the Leaf Aptus II; it has 80-mega pixels and a 3.5” touch screen. Onto the really amazing part, the pictures can come out at 10,320 x 7,752. Each picture will take up around 480MB of space. All sounds pretty impressive; the only downside to the device is its cost, retailing at $32,000.

The Leaf Aptus II has actually been in development for a while, if you want to read its full specs then click here. If you want to learn more about the camera’s uses then head over to their official site here. They even have an interactive view of the Aptus II, you can look at it from just about all angles. We have found a demo video of the camera being used; you can see this at the bottom of the article.

What are your thoughts on this device? A little bit on the expensive side? If you are a professional photographer then perhaps this may be a worthwhile investment. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
