We have some interesting news now for those of you that are familiar with the Boogie Board LCD writing tablets, as we’ve just received word that Improv Electronics has recently unveiled four new and updated products including a 10.5-incher, two 8.5-inchers and a Message Center.

As Joe Pollicino over at engadget.com reports, the Boogie Board writing tablets’ pressure-sensitive LCD display enables you to write, draw or even doodle using a stylus or your finger. The Boogie Board 10.5-inch model features replaceable batteries, an erase lock button and an integrated stylus holder.

The new Boogie Board 8.5-inch LCD writing tablet for binders is the ideal solution for students, and easily clips into 2, 3 and 4 ring binders. The Boogie Board Message Center on the other hand is an accessory that can be attached to almost any flat surface, and includes a reversible metallic / cork insert.

Meanwhile the custom-designed Boogie Board 8.5-inch writing tablet features a clear acrylic case, and integrated stylus holder and a red or charcoal top cover plate. Back in February we told our readers that the original Boogie Board was coming to Europe at some stage, although we didn’t know when.

Have you ever used a Boogie Board LCD writing tablet before?

The Boogie Board is an LCD writing tablet that works the same way as the old-fashioned slate would have back the day with one major difference, its digital. Created by Improv Electronics it has been available in the U.S for a while now but it seems its making its way across the pond to Europe.

Using a stylus you can play, write, draw and learn on the tablet thanks to its LCD display which is pressure sensitive. It uses a small watch battery for power which is only needed to erase what you have done, allowing you to start again. No more paper wasting needed.

It measures in at 8.8 x 5.6 inches and made from durable plastic it makes it ideal for a variety of environments whether it be at school or in the office. For more details about the device visit Myboogieboard.com.

The news comes from an article at Slashgear who say the gadget doesnt have an exact date for when it will appear in Europe. They do have a price however, this will set you back approx. 40 euros. Read their full article here where they also say the Boogie Board comes in a variety of colors.

What do you think of this device? Will its practicality be useful? Let us know your thoughts.

There is no denying how sleek the new Xbox 360 Slim is – although it is not actually called the slim. The name has stuck for most, but lets face it, it’s not as thin as we hoped. This certainly gave one modder a challenge, as he wanted to make it portable.

You can see from the video below that Ben Heck was able to produce a slimmer model than his previous version. What makes this portable Xbox 360 S so unique is the 17-inch Gateway LCD that forms part of the mod.

How many portable games consoles can you say offer 720p? Ben has made just one for the moment, but he is about to produce two more for a contest that he is running on The Ben Heck Show.

There has already been a Sony PS3 Slim portable back in April, but I can’t help but think that the Xbox mod looks much sexier; what do you think?
