When it comes to SUV’s no other company comes close to Land Rover, and the new Defender SVX proves that, just look how cool it looks. We know how great Jeep is, but come on no one comes close to Land Rover, with the Land Rover Defender SVX it looks great as a Wagon or convertible.

The Defender SVX feels more at home off-road and will handle whatever you throw at it, nothing looks better than a Land Rover Defender with mud all up the side. Land Rover will only produce 1,800 units of the SVX as part of the company’s 60th anniversary.

The Land Rover Defender SVX comes with a flashy grille as well as roll cage and side steps. The interior comes with Recaro seats and a Garmin GPS, as well as an iPod input.

Tata Motors shares drop 3% ahead of Jaguar and Land Rover deal

Tata Motors shares drop 3% ahead of Jaguar and Land Rover deal
It was meant to be a good day for Tata Motors, as they are to sign the deal with Ford which sees the Indian Automaker take control of Jaguar and Land Rover. Well it seems as if share holders do not see this as a good investment for the company, as a result Tata Motors shares dropped by 35 ahead of the JLR deal.

Tata Motors have singed a $2 billion deal which sees them take both Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford. The thing is we know that Ford have had a hard time of late and sales figures have not been that great, which is why they had to raise some funds, so selling Jaguar and Land Rover was the only choice for them.

However I have to wonder if Ford has just passed on a bigger problem to Tata Motors, as JLR did no help with Ford’s sales figures, so what plans have Tata got. I do see a shinning light at the end of the tunnel for Tata though, as it seems that Indians are buying cars at a quick rate, and the company is in a unique position to offer Indian drivers a luxury option.

India’s Tata Motors ready to sign deal with Ford, for Land Rover and Jaguar
After months of if and when it will happen, seems like Tata Motors is all ready to sign a deal with Ford, to take over Land Rover and Jaguar. The official announcement of this deal will be on Wednesday from Detroit, the headquarters of Ford Motors.

It is thought that the Indian motor company will pay between 2 -3 billion U.S. dollars, it seems as if the deal is being understated. This is a very tense time for jaguar as they are about to release a new car, however it seems that Tata was more exited over the release of their Nano rather than the new Jaguar.

Land Rover wants to keep interior intact from LRX concept
Land Rover designed the LRX concept, and the interior has to be one of the best parts of this SUV. As with all concept vehicles many of the best parts of the design never make it to the production car.

However this will not be the case with the Land Rover LRX Concept, as the company has said that they will try to keep the interior intact. This new SUV is a 2-door version is hoped to bridge the gap between the LR3 and the Freelander.
The Land Rover LRX should hit showrooms by 2010.
