There’s no denying that the design of the Lamborghini Egoista concept is controversial, as car fans have been divided. This is because some of you believe it to be the perfect poster car, whereas in reality the design is not very practical. It’s for this reason why the Egoista will never make it to production, as this is Lamborghini’s way of being self-indulgent.

However, that’s not saying that some of the Lamborghini Egoista design features will not make it onto their future vehicles. The engine is not radical, as this is the same unit taken from the Lamborghini Aventador, which is a 5.2-liter V10, pushing out around 600 horsepower.

The Lamborghini Veneno is the most outrageous from the company yet, well the one that will make it to production, as is the price, which is expected to cost around $387,000.

What Lamborghini Egoista design features would you like to make it onto their next production model? The heads-up-display would not be a huge stretch of the imagination, as this technology is already in use in many cars, and so would be a great feature for a future Lamborghini. We’d also love to see a few of the exterior design flares, but the F-22 Raptor similarities would need to be toned down a little.

One of the best features from the Lamborghini Egoista has to be the rear spoilers, which are so much nicer than the larger single one the Veneno has. It’s also very similar to the same system used on the Pagani Huayra, as it helps to control the car much better in the low speed corners.

These are some of the Lamborghini Egoista design features we would most like to see in the next Lamborghini production vehicle, after the Veneno.

What do you love and hate about the Egoista?

A few days ago we reported about a new extreme vehicle called the Lamborghini Egoista concept, which was even more daring in terms of design than the Lamborghini Veneno. As you would imagine the vehicle has be getting a mixed reaction, with some people saying how ugly it is, to others suggesting it is pure genius.

During the unveiling of the Egoista those who attended not only got a chance to take some close up photos, but also got to see the canopy open and the engine roar to life. That’s right a canopy, as this single-seat vehicle has a jet fighter kind of cockpit. While this may sound awesome, you should see how long it takes for the canopy to come down and seal itself.

If you love to show off then this is the vehicle for you, but don’t try to pick any women up in one, as you won’t be able to give them a ride. This means you will have to blow any interest away, which you can do the moment you start that engine up, which you can see for yourself below.

The engine really sounds sweet, which is not surprising considering it’s a 5.2-liter V10 pushing out around 600 horsepower. Even though there are some of you who do not care for the Egoista much, there will be others demanding the chance for a Lamborghini Egoista test drive.

This is because they want the feeling of being a jet fighter without having to leave the road. Okay, so we have to be practical because the likelihood of the Lamborghini Egoista entering production is pretty slim, but it’s a nice thought. We’re all kids at heart, and while this is not the best car in the world in terms of design, style and technology, it certainly makes us feel like a child once again, as this would be the perfect poster car, like the Countach, because while this car looked awesome, driving it was a completely different story.

When the Lamborghini Veneno was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, we assumed we were looking at the wildest and most awesome Lamborghini to date, how wrong we were. We say this because a few days ago we were treated to something truly wild, and that was the Lamborghini Egoista Concept.

How do the two compare? Pitting the Veneno and Egoista with each other is a little tough because one is more likely to be produced than the other. Choosing a winner from the two also has another problem, because one clearly has more grunt from a more powerful engine, while the other is more about its aggressive looks.

The Lamborghini Veneno seems to be aimed at the Ferrari LaFerria and the McLaren P1, as it comes with a very powerful 6.5-liter V12 engine, and a seven-speed transmission of the single clutch variety. The Veneno is said to come with a top speed of 220 mph.

As for the Lamborghini Egoista Concept specs, these are very limited, because all we seem to know is that it will use the same 5.2-liter V10 taken from the Gallardo, but does have something going for it to keep its weight down, and that’s only having the one seat.

The jury is out over which of the two is the better car, but one thing is certain, there seems to be several Lamborghini fans who hates the direction they are going in when it comes to the design of their new vehicles.

Maybe they do not like the Stealth Fighter look, and we’re sure some of you thought it was a fake image, that was until official images of the Egoista were released.

Ferrari and McLaren assumed that they had to only worry about each other during the Geneva Motor Show in a few days time, but it seems as though another hypercar is preparing to oppose them. The vehicle in question is the Lamborghini Veneno, but while the specs seem standard for a hypercar the price does not as there is a rumor that this could be £3.1 million, which converts to $4.4 million.

The successor to the Ferrari Enzo and the upcoming McLaren P1 specs seem evenly matched, such as around 900 horsepower and the fact that both make use of KERS, the Veneno is rumored to come with a 740 horsepower engine. However, don’t think that this will be a slouch because that’s pretty similar to the power from the Pagani Huayra.

So what makes the top secret Lamborghini Veneno so expensive? Well according to a leaked magazine article the specs of this new hypercar all attributes to the astronomical price, such as the 6.5-liter V12 engine, 7-speed single-clutch transmission, carbon fiber canards that are out in the open and the brutish styling.

All of this technology is rumored to help propel the Lamborghini Veneno to 220 mph, which would be 3 mph faster than the P1. However, we do know that McLaren has designed their car to be fast around a racetrack rather than worry about top speed.

There doesn’t seem to be many people who love the design of this new Lambo (if true of course) because it looks overdone in all areas, something that we will never see with the new Ferrari and what we already know of the P1.

There’s nothing better than a good old drag race to settle the man from the boys in the auto world, but this latest challenge does seem a little mismatched at first. However, once you watch the video you’re in for a shocking surprise. There are three vehicles involved; the first is a Nissan GTR, the second a Ducati 1098 and the final vehicle is the sleek looking Lamborghini Reventon Roadster.

Before you even look I bet you will say that the Ducati is the clear winner because of how much lighter it is and then once the Lambo stretches its legs it will take off into the sunset. However, as an added twist the bruiser that is the GTR has been fitted with a launch upgrade, which as we know helped a lot a few years ago when F1 cars were allowed to use it, with Renault having the best system on the grid.

If you don’t wish to know the outcome then you had best watch the video below now. You’ll see all three vehicles line up on the grid and when they all takeoff the Nissan GTR gains the best start thanks to the 2013 launch system, the Ducati begins to gain a little but the Lamborghini seems very slow next to the other two, as they stretched out an astonishing lead.

Once the GTR reaches 135mph the Ducati then overtakes it but the GTR is not out of the race because once the Nissan hits 180mph the motorcycle has nothing left to give and the GTR takes the win. The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster is last.

However, if the two cars begin with a rolling start it’s a different story because the GTR is unable to take advantage of its impressive launch system and while they seem neck and neck for several seconds, the Lambo kicks in a gear and leaves the GTR for dust.

Many car fans have their favorite money no object brand, whether it is Italian exotica or American muscle. High on many people’s wish lists is Italian supercar maker Ferrari who for years has provided a number of highly desirable models. Today we can tell you about the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta that is set to break records as the company’s fastest road going car ever.

The company is all set to reveal its new model at the Geneva Motor Show that gets underway next week. According to an article over at CNN Money the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is set to replace the 599 as the car maker’s top of the range offering. Currently the 599 has a starting price of around $310,000, so for the majority of us we will have to keep dreaming of that big lottery win.

Ferrari’s new model will be driven by a 730hp 6.3 liter V12 power plant, and will get the F12 Berlinetta to 60mph from standing in around three seconds, which is the quickest time of any Ferrari. The new model will also have a top speed of 211 mph.

The F12 Berlinetta is not just about speed though as it is also more fuel efficient to the tune of thirty percent compared to the 599. This will help the car achieve around 17 miles for every gallon when be used in the city as well as the highway. The new model is a mid-front-engined coupe, with the V12 engine being positioned in the car as far back under the hood as possible. This has been done to maximize the cars balance and center of gravity.

Ferrari is also promising great space and comfort inside the car even though it has an overall smaller size. Meanwhile the company has seen record sales and profits with 7,200 cars being sold around the world last year, with almost 2,000 of those sales in the US. Do you like the look of the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta?

The Lamborghini Aventador is not even a year old and there is already one special edition model and plans for another are inbound, but it’s not hard to see why tuners and other such companies want to get their hands on the Murciélago successor. Sales of the standard version have been impressive and 12 months worth of orders were taken before the supercar even hit the streets.

The first of the two limited edition models is still in the planning stage and so there have only been a few renders, and this is for the Jon Olsson Lamborghini Aventador. Many of you will already know that the Gallardo had already seen this treatment, so it’s time to see what the latest Raging Bull will look like with the signature ski box and camouflage finish.

If we do see a version of this car then it shouldn’t be long before it makes an appearance, as Olsson may want to show it off before he begins the Gumball 3000 rally in May, although he will be also showing off his Rebellion R1K Ultima as well.

The second Special Edition Lamborghini Aventador is the one from RENM Performance, and it’s easy to see this will not be just a paint job and a fancy ski box. This German tuning company has breathed their magic to make this one truly special aftermarket custom job.

Some of the features include a Inconel/titanium exhaust with both road/race spec, revamped ECU and an improved air intake to give the Aventador between 7 to 10 percent more power. Because these custom jobs are all done by hand the performance of each one will vary a little, but if you are looking for more power then you can also change to a higher-grade fuel as well.

Because of the extra power RENM has had to lower the suspension and make a few revisions to the aerodynamics, which means that you will have a better performing car that will still stick to the road like glue – well as long as you don’t try to push it too much.

We currently have no figures on how much faster this version will be but it could be around 383km/h going on a 10 percent increase. However, we have to remember that a 10 percent increase in power will not make it go that much faster, as the air is much thicker at that speed and requires a huge performance increase just to gain an extra 15km/h.

You have to hate it when you study the world’s most expensive cars; as for most of us these vehicles are only a dream. The funny thing is, it if was not for us, then our favorite celebrities would not be driving around in them either. Looking over the 2010-2011 supercars list all the usual suspects are there, with one exception from a car built in 1994.

The most expensive car in the world is the Bugatti Veyron, which costs $1,700,000. Some may question if a car is truly worth this much, but you have to remember that this vehicle uses cutting edge technology to propel it to speeds of 267mph, as well as a 0-60 time of just 2.5 seconds.

Next up we have the Lamborghini Reventon, this car is a little slower than the Veyron, but still has a price tag of $1,600,000. One of the main reasons for this high price is because there are only 20 made.

The third most expensive costs $970,000, and dates back to 1994, that’s right it is the McLaren F1. This is the one car that everybody loved, and even though it is now 17 years old, it can still show supercars today a thing or two. The McLaren F1 has a top speed of 240mph and 0-60 in just 3.2 seconds.

These are jut three of the world’s most expensive cars going on the 2010-2011 list, but where will they feature next year? We cannot say for certain if any car will beat the Bugatti Veyron, as the car costs more to build than they sell it for – not certain if other carmakers want to swallow that cost?

Which is your favorite supercar?

We recently reported to you about Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini’s new offering, the Aventador LP700-4. Today we have some more of their magic to show you with their Sesto Elemento.

The carbon based exotica was first seen at last year’s Paris Motor Show, and many felt wrongly that it could be the replacement for the Murcielago LP640, according to an article by James Edwards of Insideline. It is powered by a V10 engine pushing out 570 hp, but because it is made from almost entirely carbon fiber it will reach 62mph in only 2.5 seconds.

It also has a top speed of over 200mph, and its performance is mainly down to its weight, which is only 999kg. The front end of the bodywork has been made from just one piece of carbon fiber, and even the exhaust and suspension are made from the material.

TopSpeed have a Lamborghini press release about the car, and are reporting that the Sesto Elemento will go into production as a track only special unfortunately. According to a report by Automotive News only 5 to 10 will be built, and could cost you a cool $3,500,000.

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has recently suggested the Estoque four door model is getting closer to production, according to a recent article on Insideline. They also have the Sant’Agata in the pipelines as the replacement for the Gallardo, and there is speculation of an entry level Lamborghini which could be called the Cabrera. There has been talk of the Aventador model line to eventually have Super Veloce and Spyder variants.

Lamborghini have launched their next supercar the Aventador LP700-4, after first making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The latest bit of Italian exotica has the highest power to weight ratio in its class thanks to the V12 700hp engine powering it.

Matt McDonald over at TopSpeed is reporting that Lamborghini have been promoting that the car is capable 62mph in only 2.9 seconds, and the carbon-fiber monocoque technology that it is built from. There is also a video of the car as it is maneuvered on the streets of Berlin with the lovely sound coming from its exhaust, and then is inched into a show room with just enough room to spare. See the video below.

The Indian distributor for Lamborghini, Exclusive Motors, has confirmed the Aventador LP 700-4 will be hitting Indians road later this year. No price has been announced yet, but the company has already started taking orders for it with deliveries expected to start from Q3 according to an article on Indianexpress.com.

InsideLine is reporting that Lamborghini are planning on launching several new models over the next few years. Besides the Aventador LP700-4 there is the four door Estoque, and the carbon-fiber Sesto. Lamborghini’s parent company VW seem fully committed to the Italian supercar manufacturer.
