Obviously being a rag top we will expect to see the weight up from its svelte counterpart’s 2,954 pounds. But being masters in the less is more game, Lamborghini should have kept it quite close.

Although the engine will likely stay the same, the body has had a few minor tweaks to go with the lack of roof. The rear wing has gone and a large lower front spoiler and beefy rear diffuser slotted into place. We are still waiting for more information on the new Spyder, or to give it it’s full title the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera Spyder, but we should see it making an appearance at the Paris Motor Show later on this year.
