With his latest album approaching soon, the rapper has begun his advertising campaign, starting with social-networking websites Facebook and Twitter.

As reported from Chicago Tribune, West has now signed up for a Twitter account. He obviously is aware of the exposure he can get via the website, not to mention that Twitter is an ideal way to communicate with his millions of fans. I’ve had a quick look at his Twitter account, and he has just passed the 200,000 followers stage, just one day after opening his account.

Furthermore, the rapper also popped into Facebook offices in California, to give a special preview of some of his upcoming releases. You’ll be able to check out some of the videos on YouTube.
