The video trailer features very impressive graphics but features no gameplay footage, if you check out EL33TONLINE you can see some screens of gameplay, it is obvious that the gameplay footage is nowhere near as impressive as the trailer, but a game like this relies on gameplay more than anything.

Recently IGN managed to get some hands-on with the game, they suggested that it was a vast improvement compared to the first Iron Man video game, however there are still problems with melee system.

Do you like the look of the screens and trailer video? I’m not convinced.

We have a video to show you now, which gives you a chance to check out some gameplay, but more importantly – to see how the game handles on a handheld device.

And the results are surprisingly good. Use the iPhone or iPod Touch accelerometer to navigate around levels, as either Iron Man, or War Machine. The game features nine fully 3D levels, with achievements to unlock as you progress along.

Miller was frustrated by the first offering’s ‘impossible to read’ radar, ridiculous enemies and lack of feeling, from what Miller said SEGA seemed to have pulled their finger out with this release.

That said the game is apparently still not perfect, apparently the visuals are not amazing (however final code could resolve this), also the gameplay itself lacks substance which is not helped by a pretty basic melee system.

One positive is that the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP and DS games are not all ported from the same version, three version were created, one for the PS3 and 360, one for the Wii and PSP and one for the DS, this should ensure that the gaming experience on your particular console is not disappointing due to a rushed port.

Also another positive is that the game’s story is not the same as the upcoming Iron Man 2 film, this means that the playing the game will not ruin the film, which in-turn means watching the film will not ruin the game, also this unique story was written by Matt Fraction and features Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Don Cheadle’s (Rhodes) voices.

If you check out IGN’s fully detailed 2 page review you can find out just more detailed information, I think its safe to say that Iron Man 2 could be a popular game, however it is not going to become an amazing superhero title.

As the game is released we will post reviews of the final product, which could differ greatly to the version which is talked about in this article.

The C2E2 event will take be taking place on April 16th at the Lakeside Center at McCormick Place, professionals will be able to enter the show at 10am through to 1pm, the general public will be able to access the show from 1pm through to 7pm.

On Saturday the show will be accessible for professionals from 10am until 7pm, however the general public can enter the show at 10am through to 5pm.

If you check out the Marvel booth at 2pm on Friday, 3.30pm Saturday or 3.30pm on Sunday you will be able to see the stage demo of Iron Man 2, also throughout the event you should get an early hands-on of the game.

According to SEGA they will be giving out free Iron Man 2 posters and more, they are also promoting gamers to come dressed in a SEGA-related costume.

As reported from Eurogamer, the multi-platform game will be available on April 30th. That is a week before the movie is released in cinemas worldwide on the 7th May.

Just like the first title, SEGA and Marvel will once again be on hand to oversee the game, while actors Don Cheadle and Samuel L. Jackson will provide voiceovers for their characters.

Unlike the movie, Iron Man the video game was a disaster. I am praying that more effort will go into the sequel. If they need tips for a good super-hero game, they only need to play Batman: Arkham Asylum, right?
