Several iPhone users running custom iPhone OS firmwares have reported that they have received a message on their device, by Apple, that their iPhone ID has been banned from all further usage.

According to this article over at BGR, one hacker known as ‘Hashim’ discovered an unlock exploit for OS 3.1.3 baseband 05.12.0 and even though this exploit was not released publicly, Apple were made aware of the issue and promptly banned his iPhone from further illegal activities.

This is not just an isolated case either, as another user, by the name of iH8sn0w has also confirmed that he has received the “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons” message.

Let the games begin. Read the article above for full details. Have you received this message on your iPhone yet?
