It looks as if Sprint are not worried in the slightest about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 4 handset, as the CFO for Sprint has given reasons why they think that their HTC EVO 4G handset is superior.

As reported from Phandroid, Robert Brust wastes no time in claiming that Sprint is far more reliable than AT&T, even adding that AT&T’s new data plans do not offer customers much value compared to the old plans.

Inevitably he reminds us that the HTC EVO 4G will be able to perform faster than the iPhone 4 using their 4G network speeds – a key factor which will keep customers coming to Sprint during iPhone ‘frenzy’ according to Brust.

He also mentions that calling plans for the HTC EVO are cheaper and more importantly – still unlimited, unlike AT&T whose unlimited data plans will cease from June 24th onwards.

While the iPhone 4 will obviously go on to break records, we don’t think Sprint has anything to worry about at the moment – the HTC EVO 4G is a winner.

Let us know your thoughts on this.

For those of you seeking further information regarding Apple’s exciting new Retina Display on the just-announced iPhone 4 handset, we have a useful video comparison with the iPhone 3GS for you to check out now.

The video comes to us courtesy of Engadget, who were luckily enough to get some hands-on time with the device. After posting their first hands-on review for the iPhone 4, they then took a closer look at the pixel quality within the new display screen.

The general consensus on the Retina Display is that the screen is now one of the best, if not ‘the best’ on the market. Engadget themselves claimed that the screen was the best they’ve ever seen, and this video we’re about to show you tries to prove that.

They have provided some screenshots showing pixel quality between the new iPhone 4, the old iPhone 3GS and also the HTC EVO 4G. If the screenshots do not provide enough evidence on the super crisp display, then the video just might. Head to Engadget for the photos and video.

What are your thoughts on the display screen on Apple’s new device. Amazed or not?

For smartphone fans around the world, yesterday’s events at WWDC 2010 was pretty exciting. While we all knew that a new iPhone 4 was coming, we were still blown away by what Steve Jobs unveiled. The question is though – is the iPhone 4 now the hottest smartphone on the planet?

You may argue that, that particular title currently belongs to the HTC EVO 4G on Sprint. Let us not forget that the device – the only 4G capable handset in the U.S, was only released a mere four days ago.

We can’t help but feel that Apple’s WWDC 2010 event has taken away all of Sprint’s limelight with their powerhouse device. Then again, you may feel that the iPhone 4 still isn’t as good as the EVO in terms of hardware capability and software features.

At the moment though – the iPhone 4 definitely has the ‘wow’ factor – and we want one. Do you feel the same way, or are you still more interested in the HTC EVO?
