One such device is the Zaggfolio iPad 2 keyboard case that combines a removable keyboard with an iPad case, which then turns it into a one piece unit that promises to be easy to carry around and use. The keyboard is almost a full size unit that will help you to type at a quicker speed.

The Zaggfolio will obviously add a little bit of bulk to your iPad but not by much and still covers the iPad 2 completely once closed. Logitech are known for a variety of accessories for many different products, but they also have the Keyboard Case for the iPad 2. The case is basically an aluminum tray that has a keyboard inside, with the iPad slotting into the tray when you are transporting the device. There is a slot above the keys where the iPad is placed when in use, and can be in either a landscape or portrait position.

The Logitech case has a minimalist design that adds hardly any bulk to the iPad 2, and offers great protection for your device. You won’t have to worry about batteries as the keyboard charges via USB via the iPad. This is priced at $99 and more information is available here.

As Paul Lamkin over on the pocket-lint.com website recently noted, just like the Apple iPhone 4 version introduced back in March, the Griffin Survivor case for iPad 2 features a shatter-resistant polycarbonate frame that is covered in a rugged, shock absorbing silicone, as well as a screen protector.

The Griffin Survivor case has been tested to U.S. Department of Defence Standard 810F standards and will protect your Apple tablet from rain (up to 200mm/hour for 1 hour), dirt and sand (up to 18m/second for 1 hour), vibration (18 hours at 20 to 2000Hz) and shock (tested by dropping it onto a flat concrete surface from 1.8m).

As with any Apple device launch accessory manufacturers are keen to jump on the bandwagon with their own solutions, today we look at the iPad 2 cases which Scosche are already offering.

It has a form fitting shape which will protect against impacts, and has a soft grip. This will be available in gray, pink and red.

Another case called POP, is said to offer a support system like no other. Made from plastic and rubber combined create a hard case with a soft touch. There is a built in stand which extends for an ideal viewing screen, or it can used to create a flat back cover. This comes in a variety of colors and costs $49.99.

The Leo is like having a portable workstation for the iPad 2, and is perfect for boardroom meetings and those long trips. Made from leather and nylon, it comes equipped with a grip handle for a great carry solution. A zipper enclosure locks everything away, and there is an adjustable viewing stand. You will also find storage for a notebook and pens.

The device has yet to be officially announced by Apple, although that hasn’t stopped countless leaks and rumors about hardware changes, the most prominent being a smaller display screen and the inclusion of front and rear cameras.

According to this report from Engadget, Dexim is the company to show off their iPad 2 case, and the points to note here is case holes for front and back cameras, and also a separate hole for a ‘larger’ speaker. They also included a mock-up iPad 2 model just to show how the supposed official model would fit inside the case, and we should also tell you that the original iPad did not fit inside the case.

While the case could turn out to be not compatible with the iPad 2 when it finally gets announced, it is very strange to think that Dexim has gone to all the effort of manufacturing it, and then getting it ready to show the world at CES.
