There have been quite a few new all-in-one desktop PCs announced over the past couple of months, including the Acer Aspire Z5763 and the MSI Wind Top AE2070. Now we have received word that Samsung has just introduced the new 3D-capable AF315 all-in-one PC.

According to a recent article by Chris Davies over at slashgear.com, the Samsung AF315 all-in-one PC boasts a super-slim bezel that is supposedly targeted at female customers. It also comes with Intel’s 2.75GHz i5-2390T processor and AMD Radeon HD6730M 1GB graphics.

The AF315 sports a 23-inch full HD 3D display, a 1TB hard drive, a TV tuner, Bluetooth, Blu-ray player, USB 3.0 port and 4GB of DDR3 memory. The Samsung AF315 also comes with a permanently powered USB port that charges your gadgets even when the Windows 7 PC is switched off.

As Thomas Ricker over at engadget.com reports, the AF315 comes packaged with a remote control and a wireless keyboard and mouse combo. The AF315 all-in-one desktop PC will be going on sale as from May 26th (tomorrow) in South Korea, with a price tag of 2.19 million won ($1,987).

We are unsure at this stage whether or not the Samsung AF315 will become available in any other countries, but we’ll keep you updated if we do hear anything. Would you like to see this all-in-one released in other countries other than South Korea?

Are you looking for a rugged notebook PC that can withstand the elements? If the answer to that question was a yes, then we have news that could definitely be of interest to you. Panasonic has just announced its revamped Toughbook CF-31 notebook with the latest Intel i5 processor inside.

As Paul Lamkin over on the pocket-lint.com website recently reported, the upgraded Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 – which comes in both standard and performance models – features a 13.1-inch XGA low reflection ratio touch-screen for viewing in bright areas and a 13.5 hour battery life.

The CF-31 is MIL-STD drop tested and comes with a tough magnesium alloy casing, anti-scratch coating and dust, water, temperature and vibration protection, making this the toughest Panasonic Toughbook to date. Besides the Intel i5 chip, the CF-31 also sports AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics (in the top model).

It also features a military standard ‘Concealed mode,’ which enables the user to switch off the fan, status LEDs, backlight, communication models and speakers instantly. Other specs include an Ericsson F5521gw HSPA+ (DL: 21 Mbps) module, a card reader, GPS, webcam, a fingerprint reader, 4 USB ports and a HDMI port.

As for pricing and availability of the revamped Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 notebook, it is due to arrive sometime in June and prices start from €3,699. Have you ever used a Panasonic Toughbook before?

Having worked with computers for the last 8 or so years I have seen a lot of processors come and go, from AMD Durons to the newest Intel Core i7′s I have tried to gain good knowledge of them all, however with so many different single core, dual-core and quad-core CPUs now available I must admit that it is getting quite hard to stay up-to-date with all of the latest tech, recently I took a look at Intel’s new 2nd-gen Intel Core vPro i5 CPUs to see what all of the fuss was about.

With the new Intel vPro i5 processors there is a lot more to look at than clock speed, number of cores and cache size, all the vPro i5 processors offer features which will appeal to business who are concerned about security, cost-effectiveness and manageability, that said you still get the performance, multitasking and visual capabilities which we now associate with Intel Core i5 CPUs.

In terms of features the list is never ending, Intel technologies supported include Turbo Boost, Anti-Theft, Advanced Encryption Standard-New Instructions, Hyper-Threading and Virtualization also there is KVM remote control which allows the IT department to see what the computer user sees, this apparently works beyond firewalls.

In terms of visual performance you can expect rich colors and sharper images thanks to HD Graphics, also if you want full HD stereoscopic 3D capabilities you will be glad to hear that these new vPro i5 chips feature Intel InTru 3D, you can find out more about this tech here. Finally if you watch or edit videos you will be glad to hear that the Intel Quick Sync Video support should make video-related tasks much faster.

You can find out full details regarding all of these features here, businesses should definitely consider these CPUs for the Anti-Theft technology support alone, check out this link for full details regarding how Intel Anti-Theft Technology works.

A few months ago we brought you news on some of Intel’s new processors, these include the Core i7-980X, i5-655K and 17-875K. Now there are some new models coming on to the market.

According to a report by Vlad Savov over at engadget.com, the Core i5-580M comes with a price tag of $266 and delivers a CPU speed of 2.66GHz, which is quite funny really when you look at it as the speed matches its price.

The i5-560M is priced at $225 for bulk customers, has the same clock speed as the above mentioned 580M, but offers Turbo Boost technology up to 3.2GHz, which is not as fast as the 580M’s 3.33GHz.

We also have the i7-640M colossus, which offers a price of $346 and sports a GHz of up to 3.4 or a standard 2.8GHz. Prices for other models include $250 for the 1.33GHz i5-560UM, the 1.46 GHz i7-680UM at $317 and last of all the 2.26GHz i7-660LM priced at $346.

Will you upgrade your existing processor; if so which one would you choose?
