On the Apple store there is only one case to chose from which is the Incase 11”, but we have another case for you which has just been launched.

The Incase 11” retails for $39.95 on the Apple Store, and has a fully-lined faux-fur interior with a protective border. Some users though have had issues with the case according to reviews on the Apple Store. The lack of a zip is a big concern, and the case was found to only just fit the MacBook Air.

An alternative case has just been released by WaterField Designs, the 11.6 inch MacBook Air Wallet is a lightweight sophisticated travel case. There is room for a mouse, charger, cables, and more, and fully packed will still fit into the back of an airline seat pocket. Scratch free pockets and foam padding will fully protect your MacBook.

You will also find a stretchy outer pocket for all those other items, and best of all is the YKK self-locking zippers to seal you precious laptop away. There is a choice of six colors, and each one has an eco-friendly, distressed leather trim. The MacBook Air Wallet is available to pre-order now with shipping beginning at the end of the month, and costs $89.

The Incase Neoprene Sleeve Plus is a light weight option which has a protective interior border giving added protection to your notebook. The lining is fully lined in faux-fur to help stop your unit from being scratched. The 13” and 15” versions are available for $39.95. For $20 more you can get the Incase Nylon Sleeve, which is made from weather resistant nylon material.

If you want something a little bit tougher you could have a look at the Incase Hardshell Case, which features a tough durable design with an injection-molded construction and a high-gloss finish. There is a hardshell exterior, raised rubber feet, and thermal vents to keep your MacBook cool. Cut-outs allow for access to all of the devices ports. These are priced at $49.95 for both the 13” and 15” versions.

We then explained to you that the images that were available on the Incase website are just renders, we have now begun to wonder why there is a hold up.

Why is there not a release date yet when all the other models have already been released or are coming – although we have photos of those, which you can see in our detailed review of each of the cases that forms part of the iPhone 4 Case Program.

Without images or a release date this could have an affect on future sales, those who have already ordered their free case or bumper might have wanted a second case. However, delays were always going to happen.

The reason is because Apple never releases any details of a new product until a week or so before its official launch. This is a complete nightmare for accessory makers, as they have to draw up plans, make new tooling and then get up and running on machines in manufacturing plants.
