Hyundai Sonata Recall of 393,714 Sedans: issue with air bag system

Today we are hearing that there has been a Hyundai Sonata recall of 393,714 sedans, the reason given was because of an issue with the air bag system and this issue is more to-do with complaints as the isn’t defective per se. The company has had customers complain about how the advanced air bag system in the Hyundai Sonata works, some small adults have sat in the front passenger seat and the system is shutting off.

These advanced air bag systems are meant to shut off when small children sit in the front seat as it’s said the force of an airbag deploying can do more harm than the airbag not being deployed. Its good to see Hyundai taking the safety of consumers seriously, this is a company that has made a big investment in North America that totals more than $1 billion. The new model of Sonata is now being built in one of the most advanced auto assembly plants in North America.
