Many people know a little about their Human Footprint and how their lives leave a carbon footprint on the world, but millions do nothing about it.

What you can do to reduce your carbon footprint?

There are many ways you can help the environment and many more than I have listed below, but the 10 things below will be a great place to start and help the world we live in.

10 ways to reduce your carbon footprint:

  • Make your home energy efficient
  • Drive less
  • Buy the highest gas mileage car for your needs
  • Buy energy efficient appliances
  • Recycle
  • Replace your light bulbs with CFLs
  • Buy local food
  • Eat less red meat
  • Lower your water heater temperature from 140 degrees F to 120 degrees F
  • Buy carbon offsets for the rest and make yourself carbon neutral
