HTC EVO Shift 4G: Specs include 800Mhz Processor?

We have an update for those of you who are interested in picking up the HTC EVO Shift 4G at Sprint, as a new picture of the device has been leaked, along with a possible confirmation of processor as well.

As reported from Engadget, a new picture has been uploaded courtesy of Phone Arena, and it is the first time that the device has actually been shown in the open.

We’ve already had a brief idea of how the handset looks, but this latest pic reveals that the handset will feature a stylish chrome trim which you can see around the edges below. We also get a close-up look at the unique slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which judging by the pic, looks like it’s sporting a blue background.

With the appearance aside, Engadget also state that the EVO Shift 4G will be carrying with it a 800Mhz processor, which you may be slightly disappointed about considering that other manufacturers are now looking at dual-core processors – like the recently announced LG Optimus 2X with a dual-core Tegra 2 chip.

HTC EVO Shift 4G: Release Date and Legit Keyboard Picture?

We have further news on the next big handset to hit the Sprint network in the US to give you now, as we have a first picture of the slide out QWERTY keyboard, which will be featured on the HTC EVO Shift 4G handset.

As reported from Engadget, we’re still no closer to finding out the full name of this device, as it still is being tagged as the HTC Knight, and also the HTC Speedy.

Firstly, check out this picture below – this is meant to be what the slide-out keyboard looks like. We’re not sure about the color scheme though and that rather striking silver trackpad – what do you think about it?

Further details from the guys over at Android Central have revealed a potential release date for the device – January 9th. As for the authenticity of this picture, it has been debated whether or not this is a photoshop. We think it’s real, as the overall design looks a lot similar to these pictures of the HTC Knight – highly likely to be the same device.

HTC Knight: New Pictures Revealed – Release Date Close?

If you have been keeping an eye on the HTC Knight, you’ll be pleased to know that we have some fresh information for you. A collection of new images for the handset have just been leaked, and there are suggestions that a release is now imminent.

We’ll forgive you if you haven’t heard too many details about the HTC Knight, as this handset is also known by two other codenames, the HTC Speedy and the HTC EVO Shift 4G.

Sprint has still not made the handset official, as they seemingly prefer to sit back and let everyone speculate on the handset and what the final name will be.

The good news, is that the guys over at HTC Pedia Shop have managed to obtain some new photos of the handset, some pretty colorful ones too. Android OS aside, it looks like HTC are a big fan of Apple’s iPhone 4 bumpers and have decided to go with the bright color characteristic for the HTC Knight as well.

If you head over to the HTC Pedia Shop website, you’ll be able to see the device in Black, Blue (two varieties) and also bright pink. Take a look and let us know your thoughts on the handset. HTC Knight / HTC Speedy: Sprint Release Date Confirmed?

Earlier on we informed you of a new, unannounced HTC device that was heading to Sprint, and now we have some additional details for you to take in, notably a rumored release date for the HTC Knight.

According to this report from BGR, the handset is also known as the HTC Speedy, and the device has appeared on an internal Sprint accessory list, but by the HTC Knight codename.

If you take a look at the image below, you’ll notice that the details contain the date 6th January 2011, leading BGR to presume that this will be the official launch date – it’s also the start of CES 2011 as well by the way.

From what was considered to be a rumored handset has now just turned into the hottest device as far as Sprint owners are concerned. The carrier has got it right with the HTC EVO and Samsung Epic 4G, so we’re guessing this HTC Knight / Speedy will end up being a 4G-capable handset as well.

Hopefully we’ll get some specs to share with you soon, in the meantime let us know your thoughts on this new contender.
