If you’re one of the many Canadians that have been wondering when they could get their hands on the popular HTC Wildfire S handset, then we have just the news that you’ve been waiting for as we’ve just heard that the Android-based smartphone has now come to Bell in Canada.

As Vlad Bobleanta at unwiredview.com recently reported, Bell will give you the HTC Wildfire S handset (the successor to the original HTC Wildfire), as long as you agree to hand over $29.95 and sign up to a new 3-year agreement. There will also be 1-year and 2-year contracts available.

Bell is offering the HTC Wildfire S handset for $199.95 if you sign a two-year contract and $224.95 if you choose a one-year contract. However, there is also the option of purchasing the smartphone without a contract, but this option does require you to fork out $249.95.

For those of you that may need reminding, the HTC Wildfire S is powered by a 600MHz processor and comes with 512MB of RAM, a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touch-screen with a display resolution of 480 x 320, 512MB of ROM, a 1230mAh battery, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and a 5MP autofocus camera.

Would you buy the HTC Wildfire S handset?

HTC have announced that their recently updated Android interface, Sense 3.0, will unfortunately not be available for the Taiwanese company’s older handsets.

The company had already announced earlier this week the latest in their long line of new smartphones the Sensation. It will be the likes of this handset along with the EVO 3D and Flyer tablet, which will be getting the updated Sense 3.0 according to an article on Engadget by Vlad Savov.

This will be frustrating for people who have recently picked up the Desire S or the Incredible S. The news was confirmed via the HTC Tweeter feed, after a follower asked a question asking when the new version of Sense would be making its way to older devices. A HTC spokesperson replied it would only be available on the latest handsets because of the hardware requirements of Sense 3.0.

The new Sense UI will have among its features 3D widgets, smart lock screen shortcuts, and 360-degree menu carousels. HTC did leave another message on Twitter later though, saying that some of the features of Sense 3.0 will indeed make it to older handsets.

Are you disappointed that the full version of Sense 3.0 will not be coming to many HTC cell phones?

We have some good news for HTC Droid Incredible and HTC EVO 4G owners now, as we have found some new details which suggests that your handset is also in line to receive an upgrade to the new HTC Sense UI that was unveiled recently.

According to this report from Phandroid, the Spanish HTC Twitter account revealed some very interesting details about the new HTC Sense UI – unveiled by the company at an event in London alongside the HTC Desire HD and Desire Z smartphones.

According to a tweet which has been translated, all other HTC handsets running Android 2.2 Froyo would be getting the new Sense UI, which obviously includes the likes of the Desire, HTC EVO 4G and Droid Incredible too.

If the news is legitimate, then it is great news for sure. Hopefully we’ll be able to confirm this for you soon, let us know your thoughts on this.

Do you like the new look of the updated Sense UI?
