Before talking about these accessories we must point out that the HTC Rhyme seems to be a smartphone which will appeal to females more than males, it has an elegant design and a quite feminine purple finish – also one of the accessories, the HTC Charm, is designed to be used when your smartphone is in your handbag.

Let’s start with two pretty self-explanatory accessories, these are the HTC Rhyme Bluetooth headset and the Bluetooth car speaker – HTC heavily promoted that these are clean and tidy ‘cable-less’ accessories which allow you to talk when you are on the go with your hands free. Full details have not been revealed, however you can get a glimpse of both products below.

The accessory which we like the most is the docking station, instead of a charger cable which looks messy and gets tangled up easily you can charge your phone by your bed at night neatly and easily with this docking station (see bwlow), not only will it charge your HTC Rhyme, but it also converts it into an alarm clock and music centre – we think it looks the part to.

Finally the most innovative and unique accessory is the HTC Charm, this plugs into your HTC Rhyme (via the 3.5mm jack plug we presume) and dangles out of the top of your handbag, the charm on the end glows when you get a message / phonecall and you can simply pull on the cable to get the smartphone out of your bag easily, rather than having to rummage around – my partner needs this!

Below we have embedded a video showing you all of these accessories in a bit more detail, sadly we have no idea of what accessories will come with the HTC Rhyme as standard and which we will have to pay extra for – we think all of the accessories which we have spoken about in this post will be optional extras – therefore we are a little worried about pricing. Breaking news – we’ll be the only UK network to have the just announced HTC Rhyme! When can you get your hands on one? From 17 Oct!

As you can see the tweet doesn’t really mix its words, O2 UK will be the only carrier in the United Kingdom to offer the Rhyme and it will arrive on October 17 – the official tweet can be seen here if you don’t believe us.

The HTC Rhyme is by no means the most impressive smartphone we have ever seen in terms of technical specifications, however we are told that the design team behind this smartphone has ensure that it fits your life thanks to some impressive and unique accessories – that said at the moment we still remain a little sceptical.

Remember you can find out all about the HTC Rhyme here, we are told that certain accessories will come with the HTC Rhyme as standard, but we aren’t sure which ones – if HTC throw a few accessories in such as the docking station, the Rhyme Charm and the Bluetooth car speaker we are sure that this will be a popular O2 offering, if not we are looking at a glorified HTC Desire, which is nowhere near as impressive as the HTC Sensation.

As we have previously mentioned we will soon talk about the HTC Rhyme accessories in details, for now we want to know whether you will be keeping a close eye on the HTC Rhyme and whether you think it should be regarded as a top or mid-end smartphone. Let us know in the comments section.

If you go over the tech specs with a fine tooth comb here you won’t be blown away by its 3.7-inch display, 5 megapixel camera or 1GHz single-core processor. Also as this is Verizon-bound you will notice that there is no 4G LTE connectivity, which is a shock considering it will cost $199.99 as part of a two-year deal (according to Engadget), so why should you not be put off?

Well, this is going to be regarded as a premium smartphone and below you can see some of the accessories which have been designed specifically for the HTC Rhyme, we are currently unsure about which accessories will come with the HTC Rhyme as standard – however we are planning to speak about these accessories in more detail later today.

If you check out the product overview over at HTC.com you will see that HTC is pushing the Rhyme’s stylish, slender unibody design, its best-in-class camera and its accessories which will ‘fit your life’, at the bottom of this post we have embedded a video which introduced you to the HTC Rhyme – we are just a little sceptical about how this smartphone fits your life more than current HTC smartphones such as the HTC Sensation. Perhaps lots of accessories will come with the HTC Rhyme as standard – this could be its real claim to fame.
