As reported from BGR, some new images of an unnamed, previously unleaked HTC device have found their way onto a Chinese forum, and the phone appears to look like a combination of an Apple iPhone and a Motorola Droid.

We’re not kidding you either. If you look carefully at the picture below, you’ll see a silver trim around the device, which is very iPhone 4 like, and the back cover of the phone looks exactly like what you’d see on the HTC Droid Incredible, leading us to believe that this may be a possible successor to the popular device on Verizon.

We hope that’s the case, as you’d agree the Droid Incredible is somewhat outdated now with all the upcoming phones coming out, with more presumably on the way to MWC 2011. The picture also appears to suggest that this phone may not come with any physical buttons, but they may just be hidden and unlit – we’ll try to clear this up for you soon.

If this device comes with a nice screen and a dual-core processor, consider us very interested. Let us know your thoughts on the handset. It looks nice doesn’t it?

Some juicy information has been uncovered courtesy of the guys over at Android Central, and it reveals that the handset may be known as the HTC Thunderbolt 4G, according to some early advertising leaks that were found.

It seems as if HTC may have been a little sloppy when advertising their upcoming CES 2011 reveal on January 6th, as the URL for one of their adverts contains the words ‘Thunderbolt’ and ’4G’, leading to the obvious assumption that the handset may be named the HTC Thunderbolt 4G.

What is your reaction to this though? It was widely thought that the handset will come to market as the HTC Incredible HD, but it now looks like consumers are now heading down the road of uncertainty much like the HTC Merge / Lexikon handset on Verizon, and also the HTC Knight / EVO Shift 4G / Speedy on Sprint – do you notice a pattern here?

If you had to choose between the names, which one would you go for? HTC Incredible HD or HTC Thunderbolt 4G? If we had to give a prediction, we’d say that it’s more likely that HTC will go with the 4G moniker, since anything associated with 4G is the talk of the town at the moment.

We have previously told you about debut 4G LTE handsets for Motorola and Samsung, but now we have a new picture of the Incredible HD to show you, which also confirms that it will be HTC’s first 4G LTE-supported phone.

The picture has been obtained by Gizmodo, which shows the Incredible HD in the best quality seen to date. We previously reported on some other pictures of the device, which you can check out again here if you missed them the first time around.

On a side note, we’re a bit worried about the noticable scratch marks that you can see at the top of the device – after all, who wants to pick up HTC’s brand new device if it’s prone to damage? HTC will most likely be unveiling the HTC Incredible HD for real on January 6th – you can see a teaser on their website here.

The picture you see below has been provided courtesy of Android Central, and as you can see, it bears a striking resemblance to the HTC Desire HD and the EVO 4G on Sprint.

Android Central claim that this handset could also come to market as the HTC ‘Mecha’, but the biggest news here is that the handset is thought to be one of the first devices to support Verizon’s 4G LTE network. If you look closely at the picture below, you’ll see a 4G logo towards the right-hand side of the status bar at the top.

Furthermore, Android Central says that this unannounced handset is currently achieving speeds of 9Mbps downstream and 5Mbps upstream – although, it is only at the testing stage at the moment.

Pretty exciting news though, don’t you agree? We hope it turns into the ‘HTC Incredible 4G’ personally – we’ll keep you updated on it’s progress.

According to this report from Phandroid, this device has been pictured before (see below), but none of us had thought that it could turn out to be the next HTC Incredible – until now.

The 4.3-inch device is rumored to be launching on November 23rd, which just so happens to fall right in the midst of all the Black Friday holiday sales. If this date is true, then you can expect to see some major incentives from retailers such as The Shack and Best Buy in order to capture your sale.

What are your thoughts on this? It is interesting that the successor doesnt appear to be carrying the ‘Droid’ tag along with it. Is this a sign that Verizon are moving on and leaving their Droid brand behind? We still have the Droid Pro and Droid 2 Global to release first though.
