People are looking for cleaner and cheaper alternatives to cars that run on Gasoline and natural gas happens to be one of them, you would not expect a car like a Honda Civic GX to run on this form of gas, but it does and the car will cost you $25,000. The Honda Civic GX has to be one of the cleanest cats on the road however; the vehicle is only available in New York and California. The primary market for this kind of car is for large fleets who rack up a huge amount of distances in a year, a car like this will help to reduce the fuel cost which could not come at a better time, as we are all feeling the credit crunch as well as the price of Gas going up week on week.
Many people believe that added demand for natural gas will drive up the price of this fuel source, but this will not happen with natural gas. There is an estimated 5 million vehicles worldwide running on natural gas with 150,000 being in the United States and the car that comes out on top of all the others that run on this fuel source is the Honda Civic GX
The 2008 Honda Civic GX costs just under $25,000 and is a four-door family sedan that will take 5-passengers. The car is only available in one trim, and has a the 5-Spd AT which is mounted to its 1.8-liter engine and will produce 113 HP. The Honda Civic GX will achieve 24-mpg in the city and 36-mpg on the highway, although these figures are not that high, you have to remember that it is a cheaper fuel source.
