Harmonix Music Systems has announced this week that Dance Central for the Xbox 360 will be recieving four new tracks to dance to that will be available from the game’s in-game store. Tracks will be available at 240 MSP ($3) each and will act as a nice new addition to the games long-list of tracks.

The content includes pop favourite Gwen Stefani who brings her song “Hollaback Girl” to the game while Fat Boy Slim dances into the store with “Weapon of Choice”. Alongside these two is the other half of the bundle which includes Keri Hilson’s “Turnin’ Me On” and Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up”.

We think that the favorite from the line-up will be Gwen Stefani, however Weapon of Choice will be a great track to dance to as well. Dance Central developers have clearly gone for a range in this line up and have included a mixture of sounds to give something for every type of dancer playing Dance Central.

What will come next from developers is unclear, if none of these songs take your fancy, tell us which songs you would like to see in upcoming DLC, personally I think Ini Kamoze – Here Comes The Hotstepper would be a great addition, how about you?

Next week Rock Band gamers will be able to purchase some more DLC for their track collection, this time the pack is all about Nine Inch Nails, it will include four great tracks including the very popular “Head Like A Hole” which will make many NIN fans very pleased.

Specifically made for the track ‘Head Like a Hole’ is the option to upgrade to a Pro Guitar/Bass expansion.

Previously Rock Band games and DLC have given you a few Nine Inch Nails tracks to rock out to, however this pack is perfect for any of you hardcore NIN fans out there, back in early 2008 the Nine Inch Nails 01 pack was released, this consisted of March of the Pigs The Collector and The Perfect Drug, if you missed out on these first time around they should still be available on your console’s marketplace.

Look out for this track pack appearing on your consoles from March 1st, will you be downloading this track pack or are you saving for another?

It’s beginning to feel like we’re seeing new DLC arriving for the Rock Band franchise every week now. Just last week we brought you news on the David Bowie songs that were due to arrive this week, and now we’ve got news about more downloadable content coming soon.

According to a recent article by Brian Shea over at videogamewriters.com, Harmonix is preparing to release their first full album since the arrival of John Lennon’s “Imagine” last November. The next full album to get the Rock Band 3 DLC treatment is The Clash’s “London Calling.”

Only 18 of the 19 tracks that are featured on the album will be released next week, as “Train in Vain” was previously released a few years back. Five of the included tracks will feature pro guitar and pro bass upgrades, which will cost you an extra $0.99.

The album’s song list includes the title track London Calling, Jimmy Jazz, Hateful, Spanish Bombs, Lost in the Supermarket, The Card Cheat, I’m Not Down and Revolution Rock. The album will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii on February 1st.

As Bo Moore from the pastemagazine.com website reports, the full album will set you back $19.99/1600 Microsoft Points, while individual songs will cost you $1.99/160 Microsoft Points each. Is the London Calling album something that you would purchase?

We have some really exciting news now for all you David Bowie fans out there, who just happen to own a copy of the popular Rock Band 3 game. Harmonix has recently announced that they will be bringing a few of David Bowie’s classic songs to the music title next week.

According to a recent VG247 article by Stephany Nunneley, the David Bowie Pack 02 DLC will be arriving on the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on January 25th/ January 26th in UK. The pack contains a total of 5 songs, including Blue Jean, Young Americans, Ziggy Stardust, Fame and Modern Love.

All the tracks will be available to purchase individually for 160 Microsoft points/200 Wii Points/$1.99/£0.99/€1.49. If you’d rather buy all the songs together, then the pack costs 850 Wii Points/680 MSP/€6.59/£4.30/$8.49.

As a recent IGN article notes, the Rock Band music platform now features over 800 artists and more than 2,000 tracks. Other DLC that’s been added to the franchise over the past few months includes Queen packs, Johnny Cash and even Linkin Park.

It was only a few days ago, that I brought our readers news about the Linkin Park DLC that was due to be released for the Rock Band franchise this week. Now it appears that there are even more songs on the way, with the upcoming Country Track Pack 2 disc.

According to Stephany Nunneley over at vg247.com, Harmonix recently announced that the Rock Band Country Track Pack 2 disc will be available to buy on February 1st. The disc features a total of 21 songs, including tracks from artists such as Keith Urban and Johnny Cash.

Most of the tracks will start off being exclusive to the Rock Band Country Track Pack 2 disc, before they eventually join the Rock Band 3 Music Store. The disc – which is being published by Electronic Arts – will cost $29.99, and will be available for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3.

The full song list (seen here) includes Alright by Darius Rucker, Sideways by Dierks Bentley, Man of Me by Gary Allan, Johnny Cash’s classic Ring of Fire, George Strait’s Twang, Kiss a Girl by Keith Urban, Perfect Day by Lady Antebellum and Summer Nights by The Rascal Flatts.

While we’re on the subject of the Rock Band game, have you ever seen a real guitar used instead of the Rock Band controller? If you haven’t, then check out the video that features on an article by Luke Plunkett over at kotaku.com.

Just over the past few months we’ve seen songs from the likes of Paul McCartney, Billy Joel and even Johnny Cash added to the collection via DLC Packs.

Now it appears that even more songs are on the way. According to a recent vg247.com article by Johnny Cullen, Harmonix has just announced that it will be releasing a Linkin Park track pack next week, which will includes songs such as “What I’ve Done” and “Crawling.”

Other songs included in the pack – or sold individually – are “In the End,” “Somewhere I Belong,” “Numb” and “Waiting For the End.” Both “What I’ve Done” and “In the End” will also receive Pro Bass and Pro Guitar expansions, which will cost $0.99/£0.59/€0.79.

If you want to buy the songs separately they will cost $1.99/£0.99/€1.49/200 Wii points, while the complete pack will cost $9.99/£4.99,/€7.99/ 800 Microsoft Points/1000 Wii Points. The pack will be released on Xbox Live, Wii and US PSN on Tuesday, and EU PSN on Wednesday.

While we are on the subject of Rock Band DLC, it looks like Harmonix has a sale on Rock Band 3 DLC at the moment. According to Phil Hornshaw at gamefront.com, some packs have been marked down as much as 40 percent, while others are half price.

This includes Oasis Pack 01 (now 240 MS Points), The police Pack 01 (240 MS points), Nine Inch Nails Pack 01 (240 MS points), All That Remains Pack 01 (240 MS points) and Weezer Pack 02 (240 MS points). You can view the full list via the gamefront.com website here.

Rock Band 3 fans have definitely had plenty of new tracks to choose from over the past month or so, what with the recent arrivals of the two new Queen song packs and the Billy Joel DLC pack. Now it appears they will have even more songs soon, with the upcoming Johnny Cash DLC pack.

As Yogev over at nextgn.com recently reported, MTV Games and Harmonix have just announced that a Johnny Cash DLC pack will be arriving for the Rock Band 3 game on January 4th. The pack will feature eight of his greatest hits, including “I Walk the Line” and “Five Feet High and Rising.”

The Johnny Cash song pack will be made available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and Nintendo Wii. The DLC doesn’t stop there either, as Rock Band 3 fans will also have access to a free pack containing songs from previous Rock Band titles such as “Supreme Girl” by The Sterns.

Other songs in the free DLC pack include “Get Clean” by Anarchy Club, “Night Lies” by Bang Camaro and “Conventional Lover” by Speck. According to the official post on the rockband.com website, the Johnny Cash DLC Pack will cost $13.49, or $1.99 per track if purchased individually.

You can read the full list of songs featured in both DLC packs and read more pricing information via the rockband.com website. What do you think of the Johnny Cash DLC Pack?

As reported from Joystiq, users of the PS3 version of the game will be prompted to download and install the update the next time they boot up the game.

The update will address freezing issues which had become apparent, and also a exploit involving using the pause menu in-game to rack up points, has been fixed too – sorry to spoil your fun glitchers. Furthermore, those who continue to try this exploit out on the pause menu will be greeted with an unreportable score at the end of the song.

According to Harmonix, this update is the first of two planned updates for the game. As for the title update for the Xbox 360, it is still scheduled for release ‘in the near future’.

For those of you who have the PS3 version, let us know if the update fixes the problems you’ve seen on the game.
