The TrekStor MovieStation pocket c.uc is the second of their external multimedia hard disk, and is a vast improvement on the previous model. Nintendo Wii Hard Drive: More space for Virtual Console & WiiWare

Nintendo Wii Hard Drive
The Nintendo Wii may not have the online features that the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 had from the start but it does offer excellent interactivity that the other next-generation games systems do not.

The PS3 had a bigger hard drive than the Xbox 360 at launch, but the Nintendo Wii’s internal space and SD card options are laughable. Although to be fair, hard drive space was never a factor with the Wii.

Now days, Wii gaming is very different and a hard drive is needed. Wii Gamers need more space for Virtual Console and WiiWare. Nintendo know this and has said it’s “working to find a solution”.

Virtual Console has over 200 games in Europe and WiiWare games are getting larger. The 512MB of internal space and supported 2GB SD cards will not do.

There is a sense of urgency to solve the Nintendo Wii storage problem. Are you affected by a lack of hard drive space on the Nintendo Wii and what solution would you like to see?

My Sony PS3 Crashes A Lot: Hard drive maybe

Sony PS3 crashes a lot
This is some news that has affected myself and also a few other people that I know, lets find out if its just a small number of people or a much wider issue with the Playstation 3.

Since updating to firmware 2.41 from 2.40, my Sony PS3 crashes a lot and this has happened in games like Call of Duty 4 (as reported before). At first I felt this may be an issue with COD4 and the recent firmware, but after hearing from others having crashes with COD4 it may not be the case.

Recently the hard drive needed restoring as the PS3 would not even boot up, as the settings were back up to an external hard drive, this process was painless.

After the problem with the hard drive, we are thinking that this could be an issue with the hard drive being damaged in some way and I have heard of this before.

Has your hard drive ever packed up on your Sony PS3?

The good thing with the Sony PS3 is the hard drive; it’s really easy to just slip another much larger drive in. Many gamers have installed drives of 250GB into their PS3 and receive the benefits of a much larger hard drive.

With the movie download service launching for the PS3, it is time to upgrade our PS3 drives to have all this content stored internally thanks to a larger drive.

Can anyone else report they have had a PS3 hard drive fail, other problems or crashes? And have you upgraded your drive to a larger one?

Iomega 120GB Rev Drive: backwards compatible
Ok I know what you are saying, that the Iomega Rev Drive is old and that you did not know that it was still around. These drives were introduced over four years ago, however the company have launched a new backwards compatible version.

Although the Iomega 120GB Rev Drive is a new from the company, I worry that most consumers will not bother with the product, just like many of their other products.

Sony PS3 External Hard Drive vs. Internal and read, write speed

Sony PS3 Hard Drive External vs Internal
With it being really easy to plug an external hard drive via USB into the Sony PS3, you should have no problems expanding the small storage space already on the Playstation 3, but what about read/write speeds.

Normally you cannot beat the performance of an internal hard drive, but then external hard drives are much more portable and easy to take with you Read more
