We have seen a number of cool designs in the past, such as Transformers, Iron Man, and even an iPhone. However, none will be more popular than these range of Angry Birds costumes.

Now as far as I know, you cannot purchase these Angry Birds costumes anywhere, so visit TheClockBlog from some inspirational ideas. Who would have thought that birds being catapulted to take revenge on some pigs would ever prove a popular game?

Looking at the costumes they look to have been made with some time and effort, there is even a pig mask to add to the collection. There are no instructions on how to make it on the blog, but they look easy enough to make – if you artistic that is?

MobileCrunch explains that all the birds are there, the yellow and red, as well as the blue and the black exploding ones. Each year there are always popular costumes, not only for adults, but for children as well. So what is popular this year, we thought we would take a look for you?

After spending almost an hour of research, it seems that most of what costumes sites will be hot this year seem to agree. These Halloween costumes have been broken down into categories: men’s, women’s, sexy, couples, girls, duo, groups, infant/toddler, pet and funny.

With the adults costumes it is no longer Jack Sparrow or Wonder Woman in the top spot, for 2010 it is Jake Sully from Avatar for the men and Lady Gaga for the women. It is not surprising that the singer will be a popular choice this year, as she is never out of media attention.

For the boys and girls we have Iron Man and Hannah Montana respectively. Here are five suggestions of what we think will be popular this year as well.

We thought we would do some of the legwork for you, and as most parties have a theme these days we thought we would look at 5 superhero costumes we love.

It is so easy to go for all the usual stuff, but I thought I would go for something different rather than Superman and Wonder Woman. Let us bring things up to date a little, and we will first start off with Iron Man. This will be one of the hotter costumes, so you had best drink plenty of fluids – water not alcohol. The next costume on my list has to be Optimus Prime Super from Transformers – see what I mean about not going traditional? This deluxe costume is old school Optimus Prime from the cartoon years ago, and not from the new movies – that would be too hard to replicate I guess. More on this here.

Sticking with the Iron Man theme I thought I would have a look for a woman’s costume, and I think I have just the one. Now let us mix old school with an up-to-date flavor. With the upcoming Thor and Avengers movie we thought that it would be perfect to add a Thor costume to the list. The costume is just $69.99 and there are a number of accessories to choose from here.
