All three track packs are available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. The first of these is The Emo Edge Track Pack, which according to Wesley Yin-Poole over at eurogamer.net includes Hey Superstar and Across 5 Oceans by Madina Lake and Ignorance and That’s What You Get by Paramore.

The Emo Edge Track Pack costs 550 Wii Points/440 Microsoft Points/$5.49. However, gamers can opt to buy the songs individually for 160 Microsoft Points/$1.99/200 Wii Points each. The next DLC pack available is The Middle Class Rut Track Pack, which includes three tracks from Middle Class Rut.

These include Sad to Know, Lifelong Dayshift and New Low. This pack costs exactly the same as the previous track pack. The final pack is the Darkest Hour Track Pack, which contains 3 songs by Darkest Hour: Savor the Kill, Doomsayer (The Beginning of the End) and Beyond the Life You Know.

The second highest-grossing video game in the North America is Call of Duty: Black Ops ($787.4 million), followed by Wii Fit – with Balance Board ($736.6 million). In fourth place was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ($713.6 million).

Some of our knowledgeable readers will have noticed that three of the top for grossing video games in the US have been published by Activision, in fact if you look further down the list there are more of their titles including Guitar Hero World Tour (7th place) and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (10th).

You can see the entire top 10 list on EuroGamer, they point out that most of the games in this list come with peripherals, also it is interesting that Activision has pulled the plug on future Guitar Hero games given how well previous titles have done.

According to a recent vg247.com article by Stephany Nunneley, Activision has just announced the arrival of the January Mega Pack DLC for Nintendo Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360, which is said to include three songs by the Nine Inch Nails – Head Like a Hole, The Hand That Feeds and Closer.

The pack also includes Buried Myself Alive by The Used, Wings of Butterfly by HIM, Rescue Me by Hawthorne Heights, We Got a Situation Here by The Damned Things and All I Want, The Downfall of Us and 2nd Sucks, which are all songs from A Day to Remember.

You can either buy all the new songs together in the pack, which will cost you 1440 Microsoft points/1800 Wii Points/$17.99, or buy them individually for 160 Microsoft Points/200 Wii Points/$1.99. If you haven’t got the Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock game yet, now might be a good time to buy it.

As Christopher Rick over on the gamersdailynews.com website reports, Activision has just dropped the retail price of both the Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and DJ Hero titles. You can now buy the GH: WOR game for $49.99, the guitar bundle for $79.99 or the band bundle for $159.99.

According to Alexander Sliwinski over at joystiq.com, three new KISS songs have just been made available for the Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock game, including “Calling Dr. Love,” “Detroit Rock City” and “Rock and Roll All Nite.” The DLC pack is available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.

The three song DLC pack will cost gamers $5.50/440 MS Points and 550 Wii Points (according to the Activision website). The songs will also be available to purchase individually, costing $2/160 MS Points/200 Wii Points each. The DJ Hero 2 game on the other hand gets a few Linkin Park remixes added.

“Pts.OF.Athrty,” “When They Come For Me” and “The Catalyst (Does It Offend You, Yeah? Remix)” are the songs that have been added to the list of DJ Hero 2 tracks. This pack will cost 640 MS Points for Xbox 360 gamers/$7.99 for PS3 gamers and individually on the Wii for 300 Points each.

According to Stephany Nunneley over at vg247.com, Activision has recently added some brand new hits from the 1990s to the Warriors of Rock game, including ‘Plowed’ by Sponge, ‘What’s The Frequency, Kenneth’ by R.E.M., and ‘Real World’ by Matchbox Twenty.

The other two songs included in the pack are ‘Name’ by The Goo Goo Dolls and ‘Sex and Candy’ by Marcy Playground.’ All of the above songs are now available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii for $1.99/160 Microsoft points/200 Wii Points per track.

Apparently this latest peripheral will contain all of the circuitry and components within the guitar’s neck, which means the body is in affect a piece of plastic. It seems as if the body will be detachable (unconfirmed), which should allow third-parties to create their own wacky designs.

Gamestop have apparently got the exclusive rights to an axe design, we have embedded a picture at the end of this post along with a photo of the peripheral prototype.

It looks as if everything else is pretty similar to previous guitar designs, such as five different color fret buttons, a strum bar and a whammy bar. Do you like the look of the guitars below?

All this news comes thanks to an Amazon listing, this listing suggests that each platform’s version of Warriors of Rock will set you back $59.99 and can be pre-ordered here, Amazon also state that “This item will be released on September 21, 2010″.

There are three different bundles to purchase, the standard bundle consists of the Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock video game for the above mentioned $59.99, however you can instead buy the Guitar Bundle for $99.99 or the Super Bundle for $179.99.

For those of you show don’t know the Guitar Bundle quite obviously consists of the game and guitar, and the Super bundle consists of the game, a guitar, a drum-kit and microphone.
