With the huge range of 2011 car models available it is often hard to know which you should choose. Some of you already know what you want and will not deviate from your decision, whereas some will look at the price and allow that to influence your choice. Here we will take a look at a few deals that you should/shouldn’t avoid, although it will still come down to personal preference.

One of the best deals currently has to be the Jaguar XF Sedan, with prices from $52,500 – $79,600 that is a reasonable price to pay for a car that offers so much in terms of ride and styling. One of the reasons for some great offers from dealers for 2011 models is due to the fact that they need to get rid of the old stock to make room for the new 2012 models. More details can be found here.

Another awesome deal is the Cadillac CTS-V Sports Wagon. The $62,360 price tag seems reasonable considering how much car you get. Dealers are offering 0 percent APR over 5 years, although you will need to have a healthy credit ratting in order to take advantage of this deal. Visit the official Cadillac website for more on this offer.

At first glance the Toyota Camry is a very nice car, and looking on their website there are some very healthy deals. However, the issue that we have here is that they do not apply to the hybrid model. Now we find this a little strange, as Toyota should be doing more to try and sell more of these fuel- efficient cars. Price is from $20,195 – $29,845, the choice is yours if you would rather pay a premium to have a hybrid.

We pointed out a great deal that Cadillac has, so now thought that we would share with you one of their bad offers. The Escalade costs from $63,455 – $87,660, which does seem pretty high for a vehicle that will only offer 13 miles to the gallon. The SUV was always considered a cool car, as there are/were a number of rappers with one, but it does not take too long before we get tired of seeing the same thing all the time. One has to wonder how long it will be before the automaker has to reconsider either styling or price?

These are four of what we believe to be the best and worst deals for 2011 models, but you had best hurry, because 2012 is fast approaching.

2012 is fast approaching, but you do not need to wait until the following year to get your hands on any new 2012 cars. Thankfully automakers are always one step ahead of the game and offer these new models to us early, but what should you buy? That is a very tough question, as it all comes down to your personal choice and needs – looking at the range you will be spoiled by the choice. We have to inform you that the release dates are only a projected timetable, so could change.

First up is the 2012 Hyundai Veloster, which we have discussed on a number of occasions. There are a number of impressive features about this car that should persuade you to consider this as your next purchase. The first should be how the car looks, the second is handling, and the third is its price, which we also discussed back in January. The release date for the Veloster is expected to be sometime in March.

Our next car that we believe should be on your short list is the 2012 Toyota/Subaru FT-86. This new model should be released in December – what a nice Christmas gift for yourself. This car is the coming together of two companies that you associate with fine driving and sports, so will be interesting to see how the public take to it. We expect the car to cost around the $25,000 mark.

If you do not want a sleek sports car, then maybe you should consider the 2012 ZL1 Camaro, as it’s all about the muscle – well it was back in the day. Although these new versions are still raw, we cannot help but think that they have lost that appeal that they had in the 70s. Having said that, you will still have a vehicle that will tear up the tarmac thanks to that 6.2-liter V8 engine, which produces 550 horsepower. This model will be with us in January.

The 2012 car that we are looking forward to the most has to be the 2013 Ford Focus ST, which should be available for purchase in January 2012. Okay, we really had to put this model in because it is Ford back at its best. That 2.0-liter engine will produce 250hp – that’s a huge amount of power for such a small and light car. The only issue that we have for the car is that all the power is being transferred to the front wheels – so expect a few strange things to happen while powering round bends. These are just a few of the new 2012 car models, there are still a huge amount more, what you are waiting for?

When looking to purchase a new vehicle there are some drivers who will look to the 2011 car dependability rankings to help choose what model they should go for. If you are one of those drivers, then you will want to study the winners by category, just so you can make the right choice. We can clearly see that things have improved for many of the automakers when compared to the 2010 report – but not for all of them.

It is no secret that a number of these carmakers suffered from a number of issues that reduced their dependability rating, so it is refreshing to see that they have done their best to rectify these problems. However, let us not forget that this 2011 survey is only for 2008 models, so these results are only good if you plan to purchase a used vehicle.

The reason why this report is three years out of date is due to the fact that it takes time for owners of these 2008 models to offer their opinions. However, at least automakers can take this information and use it to build better models – well that’s the theory anyway. If that is the case, then how come we are still seeing certain models recalled?

The J.D. Power 2011 Vehicle Dependability Study is broken into 20 different categories, from compact car to minivan. Overall Toyota looks to be the most dependable vehicle, which does seem strange considering that they have had the most recalls in recent years. Lexus has normally taken the top spot, but for one reason or another has been knocked off by its parent company – well a win is a win.

Looking over all the rankings we can clearly see that Japanese vehicles have come out on top, with American models following. Surprisingly German cars did not fare as well as we had expected.

Each year there are only a handful of cars that stand out amongst the rest, and it is those models that then get a special edition version. You know that when you get one of these special edition vehicles they will not only look better, but will also offer greater performance and handling. We thought this would be the perfect time to choose what we believe are five of the best.

Top of the list has to be the 2012 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Special Edition. Ok, so we know that this is not a practical one, but we had to give this the number one spot, as it is at the pinnacle of what we can achieve on an engineering level for a production car. The $1.6 million price is proof that Bugatti has thrown everything into the design of the Veyron SS, and being the fastest production car is proof of that.

If you are looking for a much cheaper limited edition model then how about the 2012 Porsche Cayman S Black Edition? Everything about this car has a dark side’ those air intakes and large wheels are ready for whatever the road can throw at you. There are only 500 models in total, and all have 330 horsepower at their disposal. The best feature has to be the price, as $67.500 is more respectable.

Sticking with that black theme is the 2012 Volkswagen Black Turbo Launch Edition. Now some of you may think that spending $24,950 on a Beetle is a lot of money, but not when you consider that the engine powering this little beast is a 2.0-liter turbocharged unit that pushes out 200hp. Both the clutch and transmission has been upgraded to handle the extra power, as has the wheels and brakes.

Next up we have the 2011 BMW M3 “Frozen Black” Special Edition, which were limited to just 20. The $81,825 price tag does give you a lot of features for the money though, which includes the Competition Package. However, the Frozen Black Edition takes things up a notch with its Premium Package 2, which means that BMW has thrown everything but the kitchen sink into this model.

There is one car that has spawned a number of limited edition models since it went into production. That car is the Fiat 500, and over the past few of years we have seen a great number of specials, but choosing the best is a little tough. There was the Abarth, Matt Black, Gucci, Pink, Prima Edizione and many more.

What is the best limited edition vehicle ever?

Some of you may wonder why on earth we would want to talk about the facts of fruit or vegetables on a technology website, but when you consider that you can use your iPhone to learn about them it all starts to make sense. There are a number of apps on the App Store that will not only teach you the nutritional value, but also show you recipes as well.

One of the most important apps has to be “Kids Can Learn Fruits And Vegetables,” as it teaches you at a young age how important these foods are. Some children often go into a supermarket and look a little puzzled at all the different fruits and vegetables on show – even some of us adults struggle at times. Kids eat far too much junk food, so they need to know what foods are healthy for them. This app has 60 different fruits and vegetables, so allows you to familiarize yourself with them, and you can even score yourself on your knowledge.

Next up we have “Medicinal Power Of Vegetables by Kanchan Kabra,” which is a book. There are so many different vegetables that you can eat, but it is often hard to know which ones can do what for your health. There are those that can help to reduce the acidity and cholesterol in your body, knowing these will be invaluable. The app costs just $2.99, which is very cheap when you consider that this book will also teach you how to make medicines to cure certain illnesses by cooking certain vegetables.

The vegetables that we buy in our local stores today are not as good for you as they once were, this is because of the chemicals used to make them grow quicker and to keep pests away. You could buy organic, but as they are more expensive will be much harder to purchase the amount that you need. However, there is a solution, grow your own; the “A Guide to Growing Vegetables” app will be able to help you. This gives you useful tips when it comes to growing your own, such as which vegetables you can grow with your soil type, how to sow and also crop rotation. The cost of this app is $3.99.

Finally we have the “Magic of Vegetables,” which costs $4.99. This is a little more expensive than the others, so you would expect the app to offer much more. Once you have finished reading this book you should have a greater understanding of vegetables. Remember there is no substitute for this healthy food type, so try not to supplement them with pills.

What Car has now released their Reliability survey 2011, and the best and worst of these vehicles will not come as a shock to most. OK, the winners are a mystery, especially after the number of recalls that has been going on with that company over the past couple of years. The research was done in conjunction with Warranty Direct, as they have access to what car have been repaired the most.

Topping the list are Japanese and Korean brands, with the Honda coming in at number 1. Their most reliable model was the 98–06 HR-V and the worst was the 99-02 Accord. Second was Toyota, the 02-07 Corolla was their best model, and the 00-07 MRZ the worst. Toyota owned Lexus came in third out of 35, with 05 to date IS being the better of their range and the worst is the 00-03 RX.

Other brands in the top ten are as follows: Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Mazda, Subaru, Kia and Nissan. You can see that no German or French vehicle features in the top ten at all. What worries us the most is how the more expensive vehicles such as BMW, Audi and Mercedes only come in at 21st, 24th and 27th respectively?

For ten years in a row Land Rover has come in last, which is very worrying indeed. How can a car manufacture keep producing unreliable cars year after year? This brand has one of the highest repair bills as well; it’s as if they have a whole business dedicated to repairing poorly built vehicles. This is not the case with all models though, I have two friends who have not had any issue with theirs, and one of them has owned theirs for over 3 years now.

The brands that fail the most are from Europe, which we do not understand, as they range from the cheapest to most expensive. Skoda and Smart came out on top, but these were still at 11th and 12th in that order. According to Chas Hallett, the editor-in-chief for What Car, he is amazed at the difference when it comes to reliability with European and Far Eastern carmakers. We urge you to read and study this survey, as it will help you make a decision as to what car you should purchase next. If we are to go by this report, then you should either choose Honda, Toyota or Lexus.

What car do you have, do you have any horror stories to tell?

Having been a driver for 22 years, I have seen the price of gas go up at an alarming rate. Things were so much easier back then, but the ongoing conflicts throughout the world and uncertainty in the markets have pushed prices up. Now more than ever we need 4 main driving tips to not only save gas but money as well.

The four main categories where you can save fuel is driving more efficiently, keeping your vehicle in the best shape, plan and combine your journeys, and finally purchase a more fuel-efficient vehicle. The first one is one of the easiest to do, and will be easy to adapt – I have. Changing how you drive can have a huge affect, so try not to speed off so fast, and try not to leave it to the last minute to brake.

If you know that you are coming up to a turning, take your foot off the gas beforehand and coast rather than brake too late and use up too much gas. Always remember to stick to the speed limits, this will have a huge affect on how much fuel you use. Over time you will start to play games with yourself to see just how much fuel you can save.

You always need to make certain that your car is fully serviced and is tuned. If you do not maintain your vehicle, then this will have an affect on how much fuel you use, not to mention about the damage that it can cause to your vehicle. Also make sure that your tires are pumped up to the correct pressures, if they are too low then your engine is having to do more work keeping the car going. We have a few more tips on this here or maybe from these 2011 government guidelines.

If you have to run an errand, try to do more than one at a time. So if you have to do grocery shopping, but then need to go for that doctors appointment, do the both when you are already out in your car. If you have to drive to work, then maybe you should see if a work colleague lives near you, then maybe you could share and take turns?

Our final tip would be to consider changing cars. Now if you only have to travel a short distance to work, then maybe you should consider an electric vehicle. However, if you have to travel that little further, then may we suggest a Hybrid or even a clean diesel.

We do hoe that these tips have been of a help to you?

When it comes to buying a new or used car you have a number of challenges ahead, the first is to do your research, which we covered in an article titled “Car buying mistakes.” However, the big test comes when you need to negotiate with a car dealer. Do not worry though, as there is an easy way so it needn’t be daunting.

Some believe that you need to be aggressive when it comes to closing the deal, but this is the wrong approach. There are a number of ways where you can hold your own against a salesman to get the deal that is right for both parties. Just remember that these salespeople have their own tactics, so you just need to learn them and beat them at their own game.

The first and one of the most important things is to try and repel all the shady tactics that they try. They will do their best to say this and that a car, but if you go in with all details of that car, such as value, reliability issue and how safe it is, then all these could help shave a few dollars of the sticker price.

Before you even consider falling into the car dealer’s traps, always call ahead and ask them how much they are willing to drop by. This will catch them off-guard, as they cannot try all of their tactics in person. I have made a few mistakes in my time when it comes to trading in my car. If you do want to trade yours in do not let them see your car or that you want to trade it in. The reason for this is because they will have already looked at your car and then decided how much they will offer you and sell you a new or used car for. Once they give you a price, you then say you have a car to trade, and that is when negotiations begin once more.

Our final piece of advice is to not rush things, always hold out that little longer and do not be afraid to walk away. A dealer needs to shift as many cars as possible, so if you leave chances are you will get a call or if you do come back you will see how they slashed another few hundred dollars of that sticker price. We hope that these tips help; what tactics have you used to get that deal?

Now that we are starting to look into our summer car maintenance costs, most of us never seem to take this into consideration when we chose a certain make. With money still being tight and fuel being high (although there has been a small decrease in the price of gas) we have to consider all of the factors before making that choice.

Drivers are now keeping their cars much longer for various reasons, and you should factor in the cost of how much it will be to run. So do not just look at what your miles per gallon will be compared to how much the vehicle cost is the first place. Always remember to factor in how much your maintenance bill will be as well.

Now you might get a car that is very cheap to run, such as the Nissan Leaf or even the Chevy Volt, but do we know how much they will cost to have them maintained? One would presume that they would be expensive, as there is so much new technology and not all auto repair shops will be equipped for them.

This would mean that you will have to take it to a main dealer – and we all know how expensive they can be. Please remember try not to cut corners and do the maintenance yourself, if you don not have a full history for your car then this will have a huge impact on the cars resale value.

Most of us now lead a very busy life; if we are not working we are at home on a games console or using Facebook to catch up with friends. With only a limited amount of time in the day something has to give, and that is usually our health. There are a number of things as men we can do, but we always seem to bury our head in the sand. However, there are things that you can do and will not take up as much time as you would think, and these are weight loss workouts for men apps all designed to help you get fit again.

The first app we have for you is Lose the Belly (Weight Loss for Men) and the best part is it’s free. Most men put on weight around the stomach area, as this is where a huge portion of our glands is. This app will offer you advice on what foods you need to be eating along with a range of exercises to help you get rid of that stomach.

Weight Loss for Men (Virtual) is yet another app with the same goal, but this one will cost you $0.99. This app is not designed to show you how to lose weight, but in conjunction with one that does. All you have to do is input all of your details along with your current weight. Then you can record a daily or weekly progress or how your regime is going.

Finally we have Men’s Health Workouts, which has a cost of $1.99. This app is just like having the famous magazine in your pocket and has a huge choice of workouts for you to try. All of them have been supplied by some of the best fitness experts in the business; this includes athletes.

These are just three apps that will help you men lose weight; do something now before it is too late.

Update: It has come to our attention that the Samsung Smart TV has no weight loss app. We are a little concerned, as this is an untapped market for them. Here is our compelling reason why Samsung and the developers should consider looking into this matter.
