Grand Theft Auto V crews are the topic Rockstar’s focusing on right now and they explained there are a growing number of crews getting ready for GTA V. The featured emblems and creative crew names really show the passion the community has for both Rockstar and the upcoming GTA V, and even though the game isn’t here just yet you can see many crew names including the words “GTA 5″.

One of the longest running crews with the highest-achievements has been named “The GTA V FIVE Crew”. GTA V features for online mode coming soon – the blog post, found at rockstargames.com/V and published around 13 hours ago, includes a tiny hint of news for GTA V online mode. Rockstar mentioned “stay tuned for first info soon”, when they commented on the fact that they haven’t shared information on “Grand Theft Auto V’s online mode”.

If you were still clinging on to the hope that Rockstar would be making an appearance at this year’s E3 2013 event next month, you are in for a disappointment. As usual, Rockstar has decided to skip the event in favor of showing new GTA V content on their own terms – and who can blame them?

It can be argued that E3 is used to help build up hype for a game in anticipation for a game’s release and ultimately – help it to sell more off the shelves. However, GTA V doesn’t need any help at all since many games don’t even need to see more of the game to decide whether or not to buy it in September.

GTA V is already a day-one purchase for millions of gamers around the globe, and it means that Rockstar can essentially pick and choose when they want to show off the game next in a major way. With this in mind, Take-Two has confirmed that Rockstar won’t be in attendance at E3, nor will 2K Games either so a showing of WWE 2K14 is now unlikely.

Rockstar in the meantime seem fairly content, releasing a few new screenshots of the game every week to keep fans busy, while they possibly work on trailer 3 for the game or maybe even a live action trailer if rumors are to be believed. New screenshots are already available to view for the game – showing off another look at underwater exploration, some dirtbikes and Franklin breaking into a car – just to remind you about the character’s background if you didn’t already know.

So if Rockstar are not attending E3, does it mean that they will be having a separate mini event to show off some new Grand Theft Auto 5 gameplay to make up for it? Let’s hope so. Let us know if you agree that Rockstar doesn’t really need to attend this year’s event.

One of our favorite characters from GTA V is Michael, although we’d love to know yours and the reasons why? We have always been sold on GTA V thanks to the reputation Rockstar has, earned from outstanding titles, but what excites us the most is the GTA V map size that will be much bigger than any previous GTA game. Just Cause 2 might not of delivered the gameplay we’re used to with GTA, but the map size is impressive and we look forward to something much bigger with GTA V.

The last official update from Rockstar had only been a few days ago, which featured some new artwork landing on desktops and with avatars.

It took Rockstar long enough but within the last 30 minutes they finally revealed Grand Theft Auto V protagonist artwork as avatars and for desktop themes, which were showcased with the recent trailers. These illustrations include the three main playable characters that most of you should know by now as Michael, Franklin and Trevor.

This has been met by thousands of likes and a lot of comments, which some gamers expressed their feelings with comments like “Finally” and “About time”.

Some artwork was published on the official GTA V Facebook page with the comment “The Grand Theft Auto V illustrations first revealed alongside the Michael, Franklin and Trevor trailers are now available as desktops and avatars”.

The massive gap between the first GTA V trailer and the second gave gamers a lot of time to think about the new features wanted, which included things like car customization, ability to rob homes, character customization and a lot more. Now that we have seen a lot more GTA V screenshots, previews, been given the release date and numerous details it would seem most of us have a pretty good idea of what to expect.

GTA V gameplay and graphics – while most gamers expect graphics to improve after so many years, it had been the gameplay that most fans spoke about when each rumor, leak or official news arrived. Gamers commented on what they wanted to do more than how the game would look, although this hasn’t stopped the focus continually being emphasized towards graphics and how real the locations would be compared to the real world.

Most gamers would really welcome some in-depth public gameplay, but this hasn’t happened with only the press and high profile bloggers being able to get hands-on and see lengthy gameplay. The screenshots continue to arrive to tease how good GTA V looks and with each screenshot we get ideas of cars, blimps, weapons and more to be found in the next Grand Theft Auto game.

We know GTA V will look amazing, but Rockstar need to deliver some detailed gameplay to whet our appetite even further and show the most important factor, not how good the game looks. What do you still want to know about the GTA V gameplay and in-game features?

GTA V real life locations and cars – Further evidence of an obsession for GTA V being compared to real life locations and cars had been noted last year. We published some images showcasing the cops in a GTA V trailer compared to real world cops, which provided insight into how far Rockstar were going to make everything look lifelike.

Above you can see the Audi R8 Spyder compared to the real world version, and while this isn’t as detailed as the mods seen for GTA IV, it is still pretty impressive to see the extra care Rockstar take when developing their games.

The Saints Row series has often been a comparison game to Rockstar’s series, but Saints Row 4 could be the title that gives Grand Theft Auto 5 a run for its money as best open world game of 2013.

Don’t forget Watch Dogs from Ubisoft is also due out as well, so actually you really are spoilt for choice this year. Saints Row 4 is due out in August, and we now have an extended gameplay demo for you to enjoy complete with commentary from Volition senior producer Jim Boone.

The video has been taken from the recent PAX East event and gives you a glimpse into some of the hilarious new weaponry that you’ll be able to use when roaming around the streets. More importantly, we have the first proper look at the crazy dubstep weapon that makes all nearby pedestrians fall in love with the popular music genre – watch the video to see what we mean.

We also get a look at a new monster truck in the game, as well as Jim Boone explaining how weapon customization in Saints Row 4 has been expanded completely, with the rocket launcher used as an example. You’ll be able to add extra features to your weapons such as decreasing reload time, and also weapon specific upgrades like adding explosive damage to rocket based weapons and guided missiles upgrades as well.

Perhaps the best part of the video comes when we see the confirmation of a mech suit in the game. Players can don the suit which is equipped with miniguns and the ability to hover. We hear complaints already on how this looks the same as Saints Row 3, but watch the video above and let us know what you think about it.

Is this Saints Row 3.5 or not? The game is out on August 20 in the US, August 23 everywhere else. Do you think it will truly provide competition for GTA V, or is it a forgone conclusion already?

Rockstar has once again teased Grand Theft Auto 5, by offering fans another collection of new screenshots for the game as everyone patiently waits for the first actual gameplay footage of GTA V. Upon examination though, we’ve spotted that one of the images in question shows the inclusion of a blimp.

This got us thinking on the possibility of players being able to steal a blimp from the airfield and take a ride for yourself to really enjoy the full beauty of Los Santos in the best way possible. You can see a picture of the blimp below, as taken from one of the new screenshots that Rockstar has posted to their newswire.

Also take note that it isn’t a police blimp, but rather one that features the word ‘Atomic’. Are Atomic just one of the game’s many brands that will feature in the main campaign? If so, it adds even more strength to the likelihood of being able to use the blimp yourself, either during a specific mission or just as you are playing freestyle around the map.

It would certainly beat a helicopter view of the city in our opinion – what do you think? It may seem a long shot right now, but it would be amazing if Rockstar confirmed this closer to release. Even better, how about police blimps as well that track you in sky when you reach maximum wanted level, on top of police choppers?

We may have some very exciting news for PC owners now, as rumors are starting to mount on the release availability of the highly anticipated GTA V game for PC. Rockstar has yet to officially confirm that it is coming, but numerous retailer listings for the PC version are now available, including the revelation that a GTA V Special Edition could be on the way as well.

As far as we’re aware, this is the first time that we have heard mention of any other version of GTA V, aside from the standard edition. There was a Special Edition for GTA IV that came with some excellent goodies such as a Rockstar Duffel bag and metal Safe box, and now it looks like Rockstar will be deploying similar tactics for the release of GTA V.

However, the contents of the alleged GTA V Special Edition are debatable at the moment. The premium version of the game was initially listed over at retailer GamesOnly, but has since been removed and replaced by something known as the GTA V ‘uncut edition’.

Details of the Special Edition were captured though before the removal, and contents are thought to include a steelbook with exclusive artwork, a world map, bonus tattoos, as well as some bonus outfits to use in-game. The most interesting goodies though appear to be exclusive weapons, special ability boosters for Michael, Trevor and Franklin and finally some Stunt Plane challenges.

While that is a nice list of extra goodies, we say debatable because there isn’t any mention of an official GTA V soundtrack, since the GTA IV Special Edition came with a 16-track CD with all of the official music featured in the game. We would say that this is an essential item to have considering how important the music is when playing the game.

We can only hope that this is a partial list of extras that are coming in the Special Edition and that Rockstar will reveal a full list of goodies when they announce everything officially. For now, give us your thoughts on the idea of picking up a Special Edition of the game.

The GTA IV Special Edition was great value for $30 extra, so would you be willing to do the same for GTA V?

Ever wondered what one of those new Grand Theft Auto V trailers would look like with 2004 graphics? If this sounds like you then you are in luck thanks to a reproduction by YouTube user NDstudio69, which has seen a new GTA V Michael trailer in the style of San Andreas.

The video runs for around the same time at 1 minute and 18 seconds. You can see the end result in the video above this article and just how far graphics have come in Grand Theft Auto, which the graphics seen so far with GTA V point to something far better.

Rockstar released the three GTA V trailers at the end of last month that delivered a much closer look at each of the protagonists. The game is currently set for a release on Sept. 17 for consoles, although PC gamers are wondering when they will see a version of GTA V.

We know that the graphics will be much better in GTA V on both PS3 and Xbox 360, but how much do you care about graphics compared to the gameplay elements or do you want the best of both worlds? Lack of a PC release is being discussed in this article.

It looks like Rockstar are finally willing to give out some official GTA V news at last, after months of waiting and frustration for fans. Previews of the game have now been shown behind closed doors, and we can bring you the exciting confirmation that each of the three main characters, Michael Trevor and Franklin will come armed with a unique ability that will help them in certain situations as they progress through the game.

It was only earlier this week that Rockstar unveiled a series of character trailers for the game, giving another brief snippet of gameplay and showing a little more insight into the lives of the three main characters. Now, information on special abilities have been disclosed and fans who have played Max Payne 3 are going be very interested in the following details.

We say that, as Michael will have the ability to go into bullet time and slow down battle sequences in order to improve his accuracy and gain an advantage against his enemies during a crucial gunfight. This ability was obviously included in Max Payne 3, and we wonder if Rockstar were planning all along to make Michael an ‘extended’ version of Max if you like – he certainly looks the part.

Trevor’s ability is one that could have been predicted fairly easily. His skill is all based on his violent character type, and Rockstar will allow Trevor to go into ‘berserk’ mode and double his damage output, as well as taking half damage in the process. In addition to this, Trevor is also getting a separate melee attack that Michael and Franklin won’t have.

Speaking of Franklin, his ability is tailored to his driving skills. Franklin will be able to go into bullet time when driving, essentially allowing him to have the upper hand during police chases, spotting road blocks and stingers more easily and being able to turn corners at fast speeds more easily for a quick getaway during heavy traffic moments.

It all sounds fantastic, but that’s not all. We also have confirmation that each of these unique skills can be upgraded, the more times the skills are used. More effective skills will then be available after continued use, but Rockstar hasn’t gone into full details on this just yet.
