GTA IV for the PC will be coming to Europe on November 21, which is just three days later than the North American release. Rockstar founder Sam Houser says it “looks and plays beautifully on PC and we can’t wait for people to play it”.

PC gamers have been waiting for what seems like a lifetime for this release. Grand Theft Auto IV was rumored for a PC release before the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

GTA IV was released on the next-gen games consoles back in April 29, and in early June the game had already sold more that 8.5 million copies. The game is set to sell many more copies once PC gamers have the chance to purchase it.

Grand Theft Auto IV follows the everyday life of Niko Bellic as he makes a new life for himself in Liberty City. He then embarks on his life of crime as well as trying to get his cousin out of trouble.

One thing is certain, Parents will now have to try and stop their children from playing this game on their PC’s.

Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA IV) features a paedophile website: Warning, Do not look!

Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA IV) the controversial game by Rockstar has been blasted by The Sun because it has revealed that it features a parody of a paedophile website, which is quite sickening really.

The game is controversial in itself but many gamers love this game to bits and play on it for hours on end, The Sun reported that the illegal website little lacysurprisepageant.com was revealed when a cheat was used which allows the main character in the game to have a five-star wanted rating. This report claimed that the fake site will display a message from virtual authorities and that it says “it has been closed down”, there is a warning to anyone caught looking at this website will be investigated and features the warning ‘We see it all, we know it all.”

Someone called Jason Deschoolmeester who is 23 from South Wales said “I was looking on the internet for cheats and the name of this caught my eye as my daughter is called Lacey. This crosses the line. The makers have obviously sat around and discussed putting this in, and it’s not on. What will they do next? “It’s disgusting. It could lead people to indulge in things like that. It is totally sick. I won’t play it again.”

This is quite sickening and this paedophile website address is reportedly one of many fake sites featured within the game, which results in cheats. Do we really need this sort of crap within our games? Rockstar has so far refused to comment on the allegations.

What are your views on this matter?

GTA IV Secrets Told by Michael Hollick voice of Niko Bellic

Ok so we all have GTA IV, we have it and love it and it has made $500 million in its first week alone. This makes it one of the biggest video games of all time; it just shows that video games are big business just like movies, or maybe even bigger. Niko Bellic has to be the best and most interesting character in the history of video games, which is voiced by Michael Hollick. The voice actor decided to join a couple of guys for a radio interview, where he decided to share with listeners some secrets and technical details on how Grand Theft Auto 4 was made.

Hollick has shared some very interesting details about how hard the game was to make, as well as how the story behind the game was first thought up. At the start of the interview Michael Hollick was asked if he knew how big the game was going to be, Hollick said that he did not even know he was working on a new GTA game, he was told he was working on a game called Frozen, talk about secrecy.

Although hearing the insight from the voice behind Niko Bellic, I do feel that the interview was not done in a professional way. When dealing with one of the biggest games in the world, you would expect to be interviewed by professionals but this is not the case with these DJ’s, at one point one of them said “I’m not gay but id bang you.” This is an interesting interview and you have to put up with some of this nonsense to learn a little about the story behind the game.

Check out the interview on the video below.

What Rubbish: Kids Learn Killing in Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA 4)

We touched a little the other day on how video games are our children’s teaches and we also reported that Barack Obama shared this view, and he even highlighted the game Grand Theft Auto IV. Now it looks like CNN are taking the spotlight by attacking Rockstar’s GTA IV as a game that’s training our children to become killers. While it’s easy to understand their view, as a flying simulator game can train you to fly, a game that kills people could train you to kill.

Personally I believe that you are made a certain way, and if your going to be evil in real life, most times the world you are exposed to already with movies and news as it is, will be enough. The good news is most of us have common sense and would never think of acting out what we see in video games. CNN put it that the Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 game is teaching kids to “kill in a similar way to the recruits being trained by the military”.

Now having played games for years, I can tell you that GTA IV is in no way as detailed at killing, as the modern sim games are at flying. Saying that, kids should never be playing Grand Theft Auto IV, as it’s an 18 plus game, if they are playing, then it’s the parents that need locking up. CNN get really funny when, presenter Glenn Beck said, “It took 75 years and countless billions of dollars to train our soldiers to kill. Today, $60 buys your kid the same thing.”

The question us sensible people should ask is: Are CNN reporting that story to get public attention and make money, or do they really believe $60 for GTA 4 trains a kid to kill?

Most Played Xbox 360 Live Game: not COD4 or Halo 3, Microsoft says GTA IV

May 2, 2008 by Daniel

Since moving from the Xbox 360 I do not miss the hardware at all, but Xbox Live is another question, it is a much better setup than the Sony PS3’s online service and well worth the price you have to pay each year, the biggest feature I miss is the way the online chat is so flexible.

In saying that, I will also point out that going back to the Xbox 360 is not an option. Microsoft has surprised many with, the director of product management for Xbox Live and the 360, Aaron Greenberg, saying that he feels it wouldn’t be a surprise to see GTA IV take the top spot on Xbox Live for most played game. Having played Halo 3 and the amount of people online was amazing when it was first released, followed by COD4 ruling the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 for online play. Now it looks like we may see a new leader, could it get the crown for most gamers online ever for a single game?

What would you rate as the best game out of Call of Duty 4, Halo 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV?

Aaron Greenberg went on to say that the multiplayer in GTA IV “is so well implemented that I can’t imagine anyone owning a copy without trying to play it on Xbox Live“, and that this game could bring many gamers that would not normally use Live.

GTA IV Real Life Niko: guy stills Grand Theft Auto 4 with pepper spray

May 2, 2008 by Daniel

This is a really interesting story that makes us aware of a few different points and a debate, it also seems that the news reporters did not do their research that well as they made a few mistakes on facts about Grand Theft Auto 4 and the main character Niko.

On the same day that GTA IV hit shelves a 27 year old man tried to act a little like Niko by stealing $145 of video games and as this included GTA IV on the day of its release, it made the local news. Around 10.30am at a GameStop store, the man pepper sprayed two people in the store and made his getaway, only to be spotted by a helicopter soon after and arrested. When the police made the arrest, the young guy said “I wanted it, so I took it”.

Where this story gets interesting, is the way it was reported by the local news channel (see the video below), they said that the guy acted “probably just like the character in the game, he wanted Grand Theft Auto 4”. Did they forget that he also took some other games? They also said that he was “acting out his gaming experience”, so straight away they start blaming games, did they not think it could have been a movie he watched.

He did not get away from the law, but for the news reporters to say “unlike the character in the game, he surrenders to police” proves they have not played the game, as Niko mostly surrenders when police are right next to him with guns.

The fact is, some people will always break the law and it will be a combination of things that can include video games, films and their upbringing, but this does not happen to most people, as they know right from wrong. What we see in movies and on the news can be a lot worse than video games, although some people do lose touch with reality when they have no social life.

Watch the video below; let us know how you think video games affect people.

My Evil Side in Grand Theft Auto IV: missions or wild on GTA 4?

It was a few days ago that I first got my hands on Grand Theft Auto IV and it took until last night to get a first impressions look, the reason for this was stopping the gym and getting stuck into Wii Fit. When I first started the game my first impressions were that the game looks much like the last few, other than the improved graphics and this is a good thing, although I know GTA IV has a lot more than any Grand Theft Auto game before it. While my version is for the Sony PS3, the Xbox 360 version is the same in almost all aspects Read more

Who will be top? Wii Fit vs. Grand Theft Auto 4 (GTA IV)

April 30, 2008 by Peter Chubb
Filed under Gaming, Sony Playstation 3

Ok so we know how popular the release of the much anticipated game Grand Theft Auto 4 is, as many of our high streets see huge queues as people wanted to get their copy. There are so many forecasts that the game will break all records however; Bookies Paddy Power does not believe this to be the case.

The bookies do wonder if GTA IV will have the staying power in 10 weeks time, they believe that the Wii Fit from Nintendo will bump GTA IV of the top spot after just a few days. Paddy Power are now offering a 9/2 odds that GTA IV will sit at the top of the charts for 10 weeks, but they are offering odds of 6/4 that the Wii Fit will knock Grand Theft Auto 4 of the number one spot.

If the Nintendo Wii Fit does not manage to knock Rockstar’s newest game from the top of the charts then all is not lost, as Nintendo has another great game coming. The game in question is Mario Kart and the forecast for game sales look very promising.

I own a PlayStation 3 and I am still not certain if I will purchase GTA IV However; I do not own a Nintendo Wii, but that is about to change as I am eager to own Wii Fit.

GTA IV Update: Grand Theft Auto 4 Cheats and codes on day one

Grand Theft Auto 4 has now launched and as you would expect has gone down a storm in the stores with huge queues forming, as fans what to get their copy of this latest title from RockStar. Many online stores took advanced orders of GTA IV some time back and had the huge job of starting to ship them off to customers.

The launch of Grand Theft Auto 4 is one of the biggest entertainment events of the year with sales forecast of $400 million in just its first week; this will beat Halo 3 sales which was massive in itself. Early reviews of the game have seen huge praise, but come on who does not get exited about being able to run around liberty city shooting and crashing into things, while in your spare time going to have a good time with hookers.

This is only day one of the release of GTA 4 and already there are some great cheats and codes for the game. How can this be when the game has not been played by many people, oh well who cares ah we will give then a go anyway.

To activate the cheats and codes just press up to display Niko’s cell phone, then press up again so that you can access the phones keypad. Then all you need to do is enter one of the codes which will activate the cheat, once the cheats have been entered and updated on the game you will then have access to a new cheats menu option on Niko’s cell phone. A word of advice, do not save the game after enabling, as this could save some unforeseen problems.

Some of the cheats that are available include Full health Man Army”, and “Walk Free, Weapons tier 1 Weapons tier 2, Remove Niko’s wanted level and a whole load more.

Grand Theft Auto IV Review: GTA 4 Strip Club & Chase Gameplay

April 28, 2008 by Peter Chubb
Filed under Game Video & Trailers, Gaming

It is almost four years since Rockstar has released a new GTA game and in that time many have come along and had a try, however; none have come close, this is because Grand Theft Auto taps into the spinal cord of pop culture. So far information has been slow on Grand Theft Auto IV and has only trickled out, however we now have all the information we need to a review of this much anticipated game.

One thing that we know and even more so with the new GTA 4 is that the game is no place for kids, so make sure that they are not around when getting down to the action. In the new game you play Niko Bellic who is an Eastern European and has come to Liberty City for a better life. While watching some of the scenes you will notice that the game could hold its own against many movies, this is thanks to a great script and the superb voice acting.

GTA 4 is a lot like the previous Grand Theft Auto games, driving and shooting however; there is one huge difference with the new game the character now has a social life. So if you need to wind down you can play some darts, pool or maybe some bowling, or you can just go for a drink or better still hang out at a strip club.

These could in fact be full fledged games, but these are just another extra in GTA 4. In the game you have main missions as well as sidelines, and the further you get in the game the more aqaintances you meet; however trying to keep them all happy can be very tough. NiKo even gets his own cell phone so you are able to receive mission updates.

The biggest thing that RockStar has made with the new GTA 4 game is the introduction of a multiplayer option, so you are now able to battle it out online with up to 15 other players. In the multiplayer game you have free boundaries so are able to go anywhere in New York City. But the anchor in keeping you involved in the game is to get ammo and also the game time. You can form teams where you have to complete a set of missions another mode is where teams will be cops and the other team robbers.

The single player mode will take a full working week to complete, but it is the customizable multiplayer that will shock people the most. The old GTA series has always come under criticism as the gameplay has always been an after thought; well that is not the case with Grand Theft Auto 4. The whole driving has now changed, while driving the many different vehicles you will notice that they handle differently and do not try to turn very well while braking as the vehicles just don’t like it. If you do get bored with driving miles to your destination, then why not steal a cab and work while you drive to your next mission. There is so much to do in the new game, you can go to an internet café and check your emails or check out your dates on a dating website. If that is not enough you can go on your cell phone and download new wallpapers or ringtones. RockStar seems to get things just right when choosing the perfect soundtrack and GTA IV is no exception. Grand Theft Auto 4 is the sex drugs and rock ‘n’ roll of video games and is the most refined and polished in the whole of the franchise history. Few games deliver on the hype this one does.

You can see three videos below, one is of the GTA 4 review, the other is the Strip Club Gameplay while the other is the Chase Gameplay.

Ricky Gervais to cameo in GTA IV for Sony PS3 and Xbox 360

One of the most anticipated games of the year has to be GTA IV, and will be a huge hit once it is released. The game has been written about to death now and we all assume we know all there is to know about the game however; there is one little gem that we did not know and that is Ricky Gervais is to make a cameo in the game.

The comedian will play himself in the game as he is a stand up act performing in the comedy club in Liberty City. Going into this comedy club might just be a welcome break while you hang out and have a rest, and you will also be able to watch Gervais as he performs some new material that he has written especially for Grand Theft Auto 4.

Ricky Gervais said that appearing in the game was very important to him as the world of gaming is of a big importance to the entertainment industry. Ricky had to stand in a lycra suit so that it could be digitally recorded and transferred onto the game, which he said was not good.

GTA IV is due for release on April 29th and will be on both Xbox 360 and PS3.

What version of Grand Theft Auto IV will win: Xbox 360 or Sony PS3?

I am not trying to start yet another console war, while on Gametrailers I come across bonus round in which the guests Michael Pachter, Pete Wanat and Chris Morell and covers the topic, What version of GTA IV will win: Xbox 360 or Sony PS3.

If you are an Xbox 360 owner, then I understand that you will say Xbox version all the way, however looking at some of the facts the Sony PlayStation version of GTA4 will include PlayStation Home support. This could be a big boost for the PS3 version.

However it looks as though the Xbox 360 will receive their downloadable content before the PS3 gets theirs.
