It has been a very long time coming, but at last we have some good news for those of you with a Western PS Vita account. A demo for Gravity Rush has now been confirmed to be releasing at the end of next month.

While it is obviously good news for those that haven’t played it yet – we don’t really understand all the fuss. An English demo of Gravity Rush has been available on the Hong Kong PSN store for months now and it isn’t too difficult to backup your data, restore your PS Vita and quickly set it up with a Hong Kong account to grab the demo.

The demo itself isn’t really too exciting either. You are just placed in a town square getting to grips with all the different commands and it culminates in fighting a large boss on a rooftop – it did nothing to blow us away like Rayman Origins did.

The full game will be out this June in Europe and the US, so the English demo at the end of May should serve as a perfect preview if you plan to buy the game. Like we said though the demo is easily accessible if you have a Hong Kong PSN account, so you don’t have to wait any longer for a taste of the game.

Gravity Rush is being touted as one of the most promising PS Vita games seen yet, but we’re more interested in finding out what has happened to Call of Duty. The idea of being able to play online multiplayer on the Vita is a mouth-watering prospect, so let’s hope that Sony and Activision have some more details to share on that game soon.

Are you on board the Gravity Rush bandwagon, or do you not see what all the fuss is about after playing the Japanese demo or the English demo on the Hong Kong store? We wonder if it will be the exact same demo that is available now, or if Japan Studio are planning to alter it for its Western release.

Is Gravity Rush overrated?

Gravity Rush remains one of the most anticipated titles on the PS Vita and it’s a game that a lot of you are looking to pick up as soon as it’s released. We finally have a release date for you to jot down now, as well as some important details regarding DLC after release.

We’re pleased to say that finally, Gravity Rush will be available to download and buy at retail on June 12 in the US and June 13 in Europe. The game is already out in Japan of course under the name Gravity Daze and most of you may even have had a sneaky preview of the demo already if you are in possession of a Hong Kong or Japanese PSN account.

I have already played the demo and I must admit, I wasn’t really too impressed with it so it’s a bit surprising to see the somewhat ‘phenomenal’ interest in this game – each to their own I guess though. What you will want to know about though, is DLC and seeing as the game has already been available in Japan for a few months, Sony has now announced DLC plans for the game.

Starting from March 22, the Japanese version of the game will receive a pack called Spy Volume which will be priced at 400 yen and translates to around £3 or $5. This pack is the first of three to release for the game and the first pack will contain one costume, three challenge missions and two side missions, as detailed by Andria Sang.

Is Gravity Rush top of your PS Vita wishlist? It’s clear to see that Gravity Rush is a different sort of game compared to what is already available on Vita. If you have played the demo, let us know if you enjoyed it or not.
