If you are a PS Vita owner, things just got a whole lot more exciting for you. It has been rumored that a collection of new games have just been leaked online in a retailer listing, one of which is a brand new Grand Theft Auto game for the Vita called GTA: Vice City Nights.

That is not the only game that is rumored to be coming either, oh no. An alleged screenshot by popular UK retailer play.com also reveals that Tales of Innocence R may be on the way, along with two other major titles in the name of Monster Hunter Portable 3 and wait for it, Final Fantasy Type 0 HD.

Obviously there is no way to tell if the image seen over at Eurogamer is legit, but they have since updated their article to suggest that it may be a fake. Don’t forget though, we are just hours away from Sony’s web broadcast in Japan where they will be unveiling some new PS Vita games officially – so is this an early indication of what to expect?

There’s no doubt that GTA: Vice City Nights is the standout title from the list, but Monster Hunter Portable 3 and Final Fantasy Type-0 HD are equally as exciting in our opinion. We have been waiting for a GTA game to appear on the Vita as well as a AAA RPG title, and it looks like we may be seeing both very soon. Final Fantasy Type-0 is already out on PSP in Japan of course, so it would seem a logical choice to bring out an English version of the game especially for the Vita.

Vice City Nights – what do you make of that? If true, we’re guessing that it will be similar in the mold to the classic Vice City Stories game that came out on PSP, but we’re still holding on to the dream of having some of sort GTA V Vita port as well.

We don’t want to speculate too much, as the image could just be a photoshop. Let us know your thoughts on it though and what game you are most excited about seeing from the four games mentioned. Does GTA: Vice City Nights seal it for you?

Now that we know Grand Theft Auto V is being developed we can’t wait to see how Rockstar builds upon the success of such an iconic video game series. In our opinion one thing which could be better this time around is downloadable-content – today we will look into what GTA can learn from Red Dead Redemption’s DLC.

These days game developers can make lots of extra income by releasing add-ons for games, however the last Grand Theft Auto game, GTA IV, only featured two add-ons, we really think that in this day and age consumers will want more – do you?

A lot has changed since GTA IV arrived back in 2008, this was evident last year when Rockstar released Red Dead Redemption and saw great success with the DLC which was rolled-out over Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, especially when the Undead Nightmare pack was unleashed. To this day this is regarded as one of, if not the best-ever game add-on of all time (IGN scored it 10/10) – perhaps a similar zombiefied pack could hit GTA V.

It is not just the Undead Nightmare pack which sold well, Outlaws to the End, Legends and Killers, Liars and Cheats, the Free Roam Pack, the The Hunting and Trading pack and the Myths and Mavericks Bonus Pack were all popular, and here’s why. Not only did these add-ons bring more missions to the game, but also we got new multiplayer game modes, multiplayer characters, challenges, locations, weapons, outfits and much more.

Now let’s compare that to what GTA IV’s add-ons brought to the game. The Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and Damned add-ons were both pretty popular, however these were just new side-quests and incomparable to RDR.

In our opinion people will love to see Red Dead Redemption-like DLC for GTA V, this could unlock stupidly powerful new weapons, fast vehicles, more multiplayer modes and much more. Perhaps Rockstar could finish things off with the GTA V Undead Nightmare where hordes of flesh-eating zombies attack you from every direction.

Do you think GTA V needs RDR-like DLC?

Finally the first-ever Grand Theft Auto V trailer is here, it lasts just 84 seconds and doesn’t give too much away, however it does seem to confirm yesterday’s spoilers which suggested that it would be set in the fictional state of San Andreas.

We have embedded the video at the bottom of the post, it introduces you to the game’s main character and suggests that he is a family man. We don’t get get to see him properly, therefore we can’t yet confirm whether he is a Hispanic man named Adrian (which is what the spoilers suggested yesterday). It suggests that he is trying to lead a normal life, but for some reason he is led astray.

Here is a rough idea of what is said by the game’s main character during the video:

Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather, or the…. I don’t know, that thing, that magic you see it in the movies. I wanted to retire from what I was doin from that, that line of work, be a good guy for once a family man. So I bought a big house, came here put my feet up and thought I would be a dad like all the other dads, my kids, would be like the kids on tv, we’d play ball and sit in the sun. But you know how it is….

After this dialogue you finally see some action and the dark side of the town, such as a weapon-clad trio jump out of a van in jumpsuits and gas masks about to enter a building, some prostitutes advertising themselves, a police chase, someone getting kicked out of a club, a burnt out car and a helicopter chasing a criminal.

In the video we get to see lots of different forms of transportation, such as a golf cart, jet ski, light aircraft, helicopter, motorbike and plenty of cars vans and trucks etc – at the end we see a familiar sign which confirms where the game is set (see below), check it out:

Yes that’s right the Vinewood sign makes an appearance, this Hollywood-like sign proves that the game is set in the same surroundings as GTA San Andreas, we are sure lots of you will be happy to hear this.

We have to say that the visuals shown in the trailer show a massive jump compared to previous GTA games, that said the use of bright colors etc (see below) suggests that Rockstar aren’t going for a more realistic look like what L.A. Noire offered. We must remind you that this is just a trailer and until we see gameplay we can’t really comment on graphics.

Check out the trailer for yourself below, did you spot anything significant that we missed? Are you impressed? Let us know in the comments section below the video.

The official Grand Theft Auto 5 trailer is less than a day away, however it looks like someone wanted to ruin the mystery surrounding this highly anticipated title by leaking lost of spoiler regarding the next GTA installment – whether this is in fact accurate is hard to tell, so keep reading if you don’t mind discovering some potential spoilers.

Apparently the game is once again set in San Andreas, this time in 2012, you start the game in Los Santos on your rival’s turf after getting robbed and beaten up, the character you play is Hispanic and called Adrian. This time round the game revolves massively around money, there will be the same cities from GTA San Andreas, but a lot bigger and more detailed.

In terms of gameplay you can expect an improved cover system and much smoother movement, when driving there will be 9 radio stations to tune into and there will be car modding. It is also worth knowing that if you manage to rack up a 5 star wanted level the National Guard will be called in.

Throughout the game we are told that decisions you make have a much larger effect on the story, there are said to be 4 different endings, two of which are good, the others bad. Massive spoilers: We are told that some (or perhaps all) endings will result in your character, Adrian, dying, but you then get to play as his brother.

If you are looking to play multiplayer game modes on Xbox Live / PSN we are told that there will be support for up to 32 players, entirely new game modes and co-op story – we’re not sure how many players can partake in the game’s co-op story mode.

Lots of information has leaked regarding the PC version of the game, apparently this time round the game has been optimized for PC much more than GTA 4 was, there will also be support for 64 player multiplayer and dedicated servers. It also looks like the PC version of GTA 5 will launch at the same time as the console variants.

Some other things we should quickly list include: Gang wars will take place in the game, also each gang will have their own graffiti and you can tag stuff with custom sprays and expect more girlfriends, parachutes and fun cheats.

There you go folks that’s everything we know so far (thanks to BotchWeed). As previously mentioned we don’t know how legit this info is, so don’t take it too seriously for now, the person who leaked the details claims that tomorrows trailer will last 1min 4 seconds and will give us a glimpse of the city, there will no real action. If this information regarding the trailer is confirmed tomorrow when it officially arrives we have no reason to believe that rest of the leak is a hoax.

Do you think that this leak will turn out to be genuine?

Since first telling you about the upcoming GTA 5 trailer, we have noticed lots of interest surrounding Rockstar’s next Grand Theft Auto installment, this got us thinking about rival titles which are set to arrive in 2012 and whether it is already safe to say that GTA 5 is pretty much destined to be 2012′s game of the year?

We recently asked our Facebook buddies what games they were looking forward to the most in 2012, titles mentioned included Diablo 3, FFXIII-2, Counter-Strike Global Operations, DUST 514, Metal Gear Solid: Rising, Metro: Last Light and PES 2013 – however one game stole the limelight – Grand Theft Auto 5. We were quite surprised to see now mention of Mass Effect 3 – were you?

If you check out the reception which other GTA games (and other Rockstar titles) have received it is pretty much safe to say that GTA 5 is destined for success – most previous GTA releases have received game of the year accolades from reputable critics, in fact we think if you ask anyone to list their top 20 games of the last decade a Grand Theft Auto release will get a mention, probably San Andreas.

So what other games could put pressure on GTA 5? Well, there is a lot of interest surrounding Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, BioShock: Infinite, Halo 4, God of War 4 and the next Medal of Honor (see here) – perhaps we have missed your most highly anticipated 2012 release – if so leave us a comment below.

Here’s some other games which deserve a mention: Twisted Metal, Overstrike, Treyarch’s next CoD installment, Max Payne 3 and Far Cry 3 (if it arrives in 2012).

Do you think that GTA V has its work cut out to be a game of the year contender? Or are you confident that the game will deliver above and beyond your greatest expectations?

Good news GTA fans, to celebrate it being 10 year’s since the release of Grand Theft Auto 3 Rockstar has decided port the game to both iOS and Android, however we are told that only certain devices will fully support the game.

Apparently when the game arrives on October 22, 2011, the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S will be the only Apple products which fully support the game, whilst the Android release will run just fine on these smartphones: Droid X2, HTC Evo 2, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix and Samsung Galaxy S2. As for Android tablets you will be able to run the game on the Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad, Motorola Xoom and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. We are shocked to see that there is no mention of the Xperia Play or the recently unveiled new iPod Touch.

We are not sure if the game will run on unlisted devices, all we know is that the above devices are supported in full. As you can see it looks like the game is quite demanding as most of these feature dual-core processors.

We think that if Rockstar get it right GTA 3 has the potential to set records for both the Android Market and the App Store, that said we don’t yet know how much it will cost and what the controls will be like – these are two major factors on its succes in our opinion. Here is a statement from Rockstar, which goes to show how much of a part GTA 3 played on success of the Grand Theft Auto series:

“Grand Theft Auto III showed us the potential of open world games,” and added “It helped set the vision for the company, and we have been expanding on those possibilities with every game ever since”

Currently we don’t have any screenshots or videos for you to feast your eyes on, instead we have embedded the game’s original trailer below – how much are you willing to pay for this new port of GTA 3?

Every now and then we read articles which just need mentioning, recently an article showed up over at SFLChronicle which listed what an author called Kharlo regards as the top five most overrated games of all time, before continuing we must point out that being overrated doesn’t make it bad, just either sold a lot more than it should have or received better reviews than expected. Remember SFLChronicle’s post is an opinionated post, so don’t worry if you don’t agree.

Kharlo’s article can be seen in full here, he claims that his fifth most overrated game is Metroid Prime, followed by Sonic Adventure, then Half-Life 2, in second place was Grand Theft Auto III and finally Kharlo rates Grand Theft Auto IV as the most overrated game of all time – this has caused quite a stir.

In the article Kharlo also listed similar games which he felt deserved better reviews and sales figures than the titles mentioned in the previous paragraph – he thought that both Metroid: Other M and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption were better than Metroid Prime, whilst Sonic Colors was a better game than Sonic Adventure, as for Half-Life 2 he thought that both Bioshock and Bioshock 2 were better. When talking about GTA III Kharlo felt that both Shenmue and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind were superior and as for GTA IV Kharlo thought that both Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire deserved higher review scores and sales.

According to Wikipedia Grand Theft Auto IV has now sold over 20 million copies worldwide, 3.7 of which occurred on its first day. In terms of reviews the game received full marks from plenty of critics, in fact it would be fair to say that any review which equates to less than 9/10 would look out of place. When critics such as IGN, GameSpot and EuroGamer give a game 10/10 you know it must be good – so why does Kharlo regard this game as the most overrated game ever?

Khalro believes that GTA IV “bathes in the stagnant waters of its predecessors”, with a poor shooting system and lower than average animations Kharlo doesn’t understand how a perfect score can be given, he also points out that at least Vice City and San Andreas “tweaked gameplay mechanics” and added different settings.

We must admit that GTA IV seemed great at the time, but now when we look back we have to admit that there is a lot of room for improvement – what do you think?

What do you think is the most overrated game ever?

Earlier on we discussed the idea of destruction elements appearing in the upcoming and highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 5 game. Moving swifly on from that, we now want to talk about another feature which is high on your wish list of new inclusions for the game.

It has proved to be a success for the likes of Treyarch’s Call of Duty games and even Rockstar’s own Red Dead Redemption game, but how would you feel if some sort of zombie mode was implemented into Grand Theft Auto?

There are two ways in which Rockstar could handle this without the core element of the game being unaffected. The first would be to include zombies as some sort of secret missions which have to be unlocked at the end of the game. For example, Rockstar could create a series of missions where the humans you would normally have to kill become zombies, making them harder to kill and with each mission becoming more difficult – just like the way zombies works in Call of Duty Black Ops.

The other route for zombies in GTA 5 that we think could be a possibility, would just to have zombies as an unlockable cheat code that you can get by completing the game on a hard difficulty setting, or another hard to achieve requirement in the standard game. Enabling the zombie code could turn all pedestrians against you, with Rockstar implementing GTA style ‘Rampage’ missions with difficulty increasing round after round. You’ll be able to take zombies out with a full plethora of weapons, and it would be even better if Rockstar could somehow enable play with a friend offline or online.

It may seem pretty farfetched, but if Rockstar are willing to do it with Red Dead Redemption, we can definitely see it happening with Grand Theft Auto 5. Let us know your thoughts on this – would you like to see a zombie mode in GTA 5 or not?

Back in March when we posted some information on a Grand Theft Auto 5 release update, we received a lot of feedback from our readers and what they wanted in GTA 5. Most people were clear on their likes and dislikes, which included GTA IV being seen as missing a few things.

Some people class GTA IV as a different game altogether, and find games like Vice City much better for gameplay but are put off by the poor graphics when compared to GTA IV. How did you rate GTA IV for gameplay compared to previous versions?

Disappointments in the characters in GTA 4 and overall lack of gangs have also been noted, but for me personally I would like to see an option to turn off the swearing. The game has an older age rating but not all of us want to hear that amount of swearing during a game, especially if children could walk in the room.

There must be a way for Grand Theft Auto 5 to include an option to turn off swearing, <s>this is something that could even open the game up to a younger audience</s> sadly there is no open world games children can enjoy like GTA but without all the 18+ activities and swearing. There are many reasons why we should have an option to control the swearing (although children cannot play the game), do you have any?

What new options would you like to see in GTA 5? Would you like the ability to turn swearing off?
