The story proves that technology is there to help, and the GPS Snitch has done just that.

Laszlo Tenai was shocked to find out his 2006 Honda CBR 1000RR motorcycle had been stolen from in front of his Upper East Side apartment building for the second time in just eight months. But once again he was able to lead police to the stolen vehicle with the aid of his Blackline GPS Snitch. The Snitch combines cellular and GPS technologies to alert owners via text message when their vehicle has moved outside of a predefined perimeter. It can then be tracked online in real-time to pinpoint the exact location. Read more

Apple iPod Touch with GPS

Apple iPod Touch with GPS
Back in February Apple introduced the 32GB iPod Touch to the collection of 8GB and 16GB models. We know there will be another iPod Touch at some point and today we have a few clues.

The new beta iPhone and iPod 2.1 firmware hints at a new iPod Touch. It’s being reported that there are references to an unreleased iPod Touch known as iPod2,1.

The current iPod models are known as “iPod1,1″, and the first generation iPhone was known as “iPhone1,1″. These numbers are not changed when new storage sizes are introduced; it takes a few more features to introduce a new model like this. The latest iPhone 3G is known as “iPhone1,2″.

The shows that the new iPod Touch will carry more features, but what might these be? Its unlikely that Apple would want the new iPod Touch to overshadow the iPhone, so expect additions like GPS.

Would you like GPS features on a new iPod Touch?

Sprint Samsung Instinct GPS vs. Apple iPhone video

May 14, 2008 by Daniel
Filed under Cell Phone Information, Cell Phones

Today we have a video of the upcoming Sprint Samsung Instinct GPS features vs. Apple iPhone’s, this comparison of the GPS functionality between the Instinct and Apple iPhone does show one of them is much better. Now what’s funny is how they look at the iPhone and say, “somewhere on this enormous circle” and with the Samsung Instinct they say, “That’s more like it”. We have to agree you get a much better idea of your location on the upcoming Sprint Samsung Instinct, but we cannot comment on the other phone rumored to be coming in June, the 3G iPhone will have many more improved features like GPS, better camera, etc.

Now the question would be about the location finder, as both the Sprint Samsung Instinct and 3G iPhone could be out in the same month, that would be a comparison video we would want to see and not one of the last generation iPhone. Although, we do not know if the location finding feature on the next generation iPhone will be any better. Watch the video below, it shows that the Samsung Instinct currently has a better location finder.

Do you use the “pinpoint your exact location” feature on the Apple iPhone and would the Samsung Instinct doing this better sway your buying decision? If you we see a comparison of the 3G iPhone and Samsung Instinct when released, we will post an updated video.

The new Samsung Instinct phone features include cool flashy menus, Haptic feedback, 3G, touchscreen, you can search web pages with the tilt action in the full HTML web browser, it also has Visual Voicemail, TV, weighs 4.4 ounces and has a 3 inch display.
