Firstly we have a review from Den of Geek, who argues that the original Nintendo 64 version of the game led the way for the current FPS games we see today. Despite this they seem a little disappointed on the whole, saying the new version of the game is pretty much the same as the Wii remake but with an ‘obvious visual boost.’ However they also say that while Reloaded is enjoyable, the AI is too simplified, it is too easy and offers nothing more than the Wii version. They actually recommend getting the Wii version scoring Reloaded just three stars out of five.

Another review came from Reg Hardware, who also seemed disappointed with Reloaded. Agreeing with Den of Geek that the AI has been simplified too much, describing it as ‘whack-a-mole.’ The only comparison they find worthy enough for the classic version is the multilayer mode, noting the gameplay customizations as being the highlight, despite the limited number of players and map size. Overall they scored the game 70%, recommending it should have been released as a download title, saying it ‘neither stirs nor shakes.’

VidoeGamer describe Reloaded as a decent take on the Wii version. They were also disappointed with the lack presentation with the levels but at the same time found the campaign and the multiplayer mode very entertaining. They scored it 6 out of 10, saying that overall it felt like an HD re-release rather than a game redesigned for today’s consoles.

The SharpShot is now available to buy for the Wii priced at $24.99 and is created by DreamGear. It also comes in two colors, Gold and Silver, but why would you want the latter if you were a GoldenEye 007 fan?

Regardless, this is brilliant for the James Bond fan as it mounts directly on your Wii remote turning it into an almost real handgun, but don’t get any funny ideas. It does not come with bullets you know. It can be used for any first-person shoot-em-up games and comes with duel triggers to give maximum functionality and control.

Overall, reviews for GoldenEye Wii were impressive with the majority of reviewers giving around 90%. Just a shame the multiplayer does not seem all that great.

Obviously a lot has changed since the 1997 release, at the end of this post you can see a video showing the multiplayer combat mode which features in the 2010 Wii version.

The video in my opinion is very disappointing, obviously we weren’t expecting great graphics, however there are some other fundamental problems which I think will frustrate even the most understanding Nintendo gamers out there.

The video shows poor framerate and poor physics, however the biggest problem in my opinion is the aiming system, most people are used to a dual analog stick setup, one for walking forwards, backwards, left and right, and the other for looking around, I have no hands-on experience with the game but I very much doubt that this old school setup will be popular today, what do you think?

We previously told you that the game will be out sometime in November, but as VG247 reports, we now know the exact date will be November 2nd.

If you didn’t know already, GoldenEye 007 on the Wii will feature the voice talents of Daniel Craig and Judi Dench as their respective characters. You’ll also be interested to know that the script writer and composer from the 1995 original film are also back for the remake, so you can rest assured that this game won’t just be a shoddy port from the N64 version.
