Well now we have some more good news for all you Ghost Recon fans out there, as according to Keza Macdonald over on the vg247.com website, developer and publisher Ubisoft has recently provided a few details for the upcoming Wii U game, including how the controller works with it.

Using a system that Ubisoft has called Crosscom 2.0, gamers will be able to use the Wii U’s touchpad as a command centre. Players will be able to see enemy positions on a tactical map, set waypoints visible to their teammates, control an overhead drone and even guide a missile to ground.

As far as weapon customization is concerned, players will be able to scroll through the different parts on the screen of the controller, while a live 3D image of their weapon being altered is displayed on the TV. The game also features a Ghost Feed social network.

This feature enables users to keep a track on the world of Ghost Recon Online and see what their friends are up to on the touch-screen controller, even when the television is broadcasting or switched off. The Ghost Recon Online game is due to be released sometime in 2012.
