When the GeForce GTX 460 was introduced last month different card makers treated us to a number of versions. MSI was one of them, but only with 768MB, now there is the MSI GeForce GTX 460 1GB Cyclone GPU.

You will be right in thinking that the extra bump in memory helps a lot, but the card now has so much more to offer. TweakTown love the card, which is why they have given it a rating of 93 percent in their 22-page review. This will take some reading, but will be invaluable for those who wish to part with a few dollars.

The review is extensive and covers all that there is to know, such as the specs, setting up the tests, as well as benchmarking the card with 13 of the top video games. The final part of the review is the performance tests that lead up to the final thoughts.

The 1GB version will not cost you that much more than the 768MB version, so is great value for money considering the increased performance. There is a range of 1GB versions of the GeForce GTX 460, but TweakTown believes that it is the Cyclone that has the edge over the all.

The GeForce GTX 460 has finally been officially announced and there are said to be 12 models of this latest video card. Newegg now has the price for all twelve models ranging from $199 to $244, which as you can see is a huge difference – something to do with clock speed.

Variations of the GeForce GTX 460 come from the biggest makers, these include: ASUS, EVGA, Gigabyte, MSI and Palit. Differences are very small, but just big enough to make a difference. Most have the same base configuration – 336 CUDA cores and 768MB of GDDR5 memory

So the above specs are a little lower than its older brother, but all 12 models come with a faster rating. With the different versions it is hard to know which one to choose, but Engadget advises that the 1GB, 256-bit version would be a great choice.

If you were thinking of getting one of these GeForce GTX 460 graphics cards, then you had best hurry – Newegg has already started to shift a few units. Visit their website.
