In addition to the announcement, the company has also released a never before seen FIFA 12 trailer, which demonstrates some of the neat new gameplay that players will be experiencing when they purchase the game. The release date of the new title will not be available across all platforms however, until September 30th, though this is still earlier than past FIFA titles.

There have not been any specific details released about the actual contents of the demo yet, though if it’s like past demos that have been released, it will allow gamers to get a small taste of what’s to come as far as exhibitions go, with only a select amount of teams available to use and limited game length and settings. Last year EA included a feature which allowed other teams to be unlocked after a certain amount of games had been played during the demo, so it will be interesting to see if they include a similar feature this year or maybe something different.

Meanwhile the Premier League has kicked off in the UK, and to commemorate the opening weekend EA were also kind enough to release a new screenshot. More screens are likely to appear before the release of the game no doubt, so we will be doing our best to keep an eye out for them so we can bring them to our readers.

When it comes to videogame build up the industry gets a little loco as rumors explode and teasers, screens and detail reveals are sought after before the release of a hotly anticipated game. The news of the announcement comes via a tweet which EA Sports posted this week which read; ‘When will we announce the demo date for FIFA 12? At GamesCom – next week!’

GamesCom is one of the largest annual videogame events in the world and this year it will be taking place in Cologne, Germany. This is one of the most perfect places the announcement about the demo could have occurred in as this country is one of the biggest footballing nations across the globe. It is home to one of the most watched and wealthiest leagues in the world, the Bundesliga, and the national team has won the FIFA World Cup three times.

Meanwhile we recently brought you yet more news regarding FIFA 12, this time it was about the new EA Season Ticket, a purchasable service that allows exclusive premium benefits leading to a better gameplay experience.
