Unlike the original Galaxy Note, the good thing about the successor is that availability across the US is set to be very healthy this time around. The first model was exclusive to AT&T only, but the Note 2 should find itself on all four major carriers in the US which is obviously great news for consumers.

T-Mobile customers were bound to be upset after missing out on the first party, but now it looks like the mighty Note 2 with its superior hardware specs and software is definitely coming to T-Mobile soon. Will it be available from the first opportunity though, or will AT&T end up having some sort of timed exclusivity before it arrives on Tmo, Sprint and Verizon?

We told you in a previous report that a T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 had possibly been identified with a build numer of SGH-T889 – you can read that back again here if you missed it the first time. Now, sources over at SamMobile have confirmed that T-Mobile is definitely getting the device and that it will come with the same specs as the international version as well.

This means that unlike the AT&T and Verizon version which may be ‘restricted’ to a Snapdragon S4 1.4 Ghz dual-core processor, the T-Mobile Note 2 which utilizes HSPA+ data will come with a quad-core 1.6Ghz Exynos processor instead. Having said that, there are also conflicting reports that the other carriers in US will find a way to bypass the previous dual-core chip restriction as well and bring the Note 2 to customers with the global specifications in tact.

With the Galaxy S3 still selling like hot cakes, Samsung seems to be biding their time with the Note 2. If you had to choose your carrier of preference, would you go with T-Mobile with the confirmation of a quad-core chip, or does Sprint and Verizon sound more appealing to you?
