Nintendo Wii Controller System to operate real military robots: Is this good for warfare?

Nintendo Wii Controller System to operate real military robots
Strange but true and quite scary really but the Nintendo Wii controller system will be used in real life warfare to operate military robots. All I hope is that the men and women in the military do not play the Nintendo Wii in real life or they might think it’s a game.

Scientist has reported that two scientists in the United States have just adapted the Nintendo Wii control system technology into robots that clear mine fields.

The Nintendo Wiimote detects movement in three dimensions using wireless technology in the games as we know it, but it is just for that “games” so do we really want this technology in modern warfare?

Smart brake lights for cars designed by Virginia Tech students: Could this stop tailgating?

Smart brake lights
New inventions are always praised if it stops idiots on the roads causing accidents due to tailgating; we praise this invention very much.

Why this has never been designed years and years ago is beyond me and why cars nowadays have not got this sort of device incorporated on cars now makes me wonder.

The new invention comes from Virginia Tech students who designed Smart brake lights for cars, the automobile braking lights that were developed is a brand new system that will show LED lights if you are stopping and if you are slowing down.

It will show drivers who are driving behind a car with this setup if the car is stopping, slowing down and even how soft or hard they are going to brake. When you begin to slow down the lights in the center glow orange and after a certain threshold the lights turn to red plus if you slam on the brakes hard the LED lights will flash red.

So could this stop tailgating?

Lifetimer Gadget
This is so much more than just a clock. It will help you keep your whole life in order. The clock face is surrounded by a number of buttons, each relating to different areas of your life such as your next holiday, birthday, the time you finish work, even the last time you got frisky, and that’s just a few of the options. Just press any of these buttons and the know-it-all clock will tell you exactly how long you’ve got to go to the event or, in certain cases, how long it’s been since a particular milestone. The Lifetimer also has a function for finding out how long you’ve been in your relationship, right down to the last second, so it’s ideal for anyone who is inclined to forget significant anniversaries. Many off you may think that the USBee Flash Memory Drive design is a little to weird but we say get some glasses because we love it, it is not only different but the whole design is unique with some clever things going on.

The name for starters is a little wacky but makes sense considering the way it looks, ok this is only a concept but should be pretty easy to make it reality. The eye catching USBee is clever because unlike normal USB thumb drives they can sometime break when putting in or out of computers but this one will not because it is flexible.

usbee2

The USBee has a clever combination of aluminium and silicon shell and this is where it becomes flexible, it also has a clever ventilation system to prevent it from heating up.

The Plug It USB adapter: cables even more convenient
The Plug It USB adapter is said to be the “world’s smallest” USB charging and data cable but I bet there are more like it.

This cable is definitely convenient and small enough to be hung from your keys or even the eyelet found on many mobile devices including most cell phones.

A mini USB version allows it to connect to just about everything else including Blackberrys, cameras, PMPs, MP3 players, etc.
