Each year the consumer industry goes through phases, we know that 2010 was about 3D TV – as well this year – and we know that 2011 will also be about the tablet. However, when it comes to the camera market, then CES 2011 will show you that it will all be about superzoom, and Fujifilm and their Finepix range will be at the forefront.

The camera maker does not have the products to compete with the likes of Canon and Panasonic, but they are more affordable, and you can see this with the range of new cameras that will be shown off in Las Vegas. There are three new ranges; the first is the superzoom, with the HS20EXR, F500EXR and F550EXR making up the range. However, if you are looking for something with even more zoom, then the new range of SLR’s might appeal to you. The best thing is, they cost half as much as you would pay for a rival brand. More details from Engadget.

For those looking for something simpler then maybe you will want a point and shoot camera, and Fujifilm will have 6 new models on show at CES. These are as follows: The Z90, AV200, AX300, JV200, JX and T series, with prices ranging from $89.99 to $199.95. The Z90 will be on sale in just over two weeks, the AV200, AX300 and JV200 in February, the T200 in March and the T300 in April. Get spec and exact price details here.

The final camera that Fujifilm will be showing during the Consumer Electronics Show is the waterproof Finepix XP30. This is an updated version of the XP10 and will be GPS-enabled and will ship next month for a price of $239.95, there is to also be a new XP20, this will cost $199.99 and will be ready for shipping in March.

Today has been a busy day for camera enthusiasts as a number of these devices have been announced, such as the Pentax K-5 DSLR. However, it is the Fujifilm Finepix X100 that has got my attention, as it is a welcome break from the range of four-thirds cameras that we have been inundated with in recent months.

The Finepix X100 is a hybrid with its 12MP lens and APS-C DSLR sensor. Just looking at the camera screams old school, most of this is thanks to a viewfinder – something that is missing from most digital cameras on the market.

This is no ordinary viewfinder though, as it will overlay certain information for you. Not only will you be looking at the actual image, but you can also access the data, as you would on an LCD display on most other digital cameras.

Mic Wright from Electric Pig picks up on the fact that the looks and some of the specs are much the same as the Leica X1 – although the latter is certain to have the edge. The release date for the Finepix X100 is not expected to be until early next year.

FujiFilm were not put off with poor reviews of their first stereoscopic 3D camera, instead they took the positives from the bad and then went to work on the next model. Now we have the FujiFilm FinePix Real 3D W3, and a number of the issues of the W1 have now been addressed.

Sean Hollister from Engadget has spent some time with the new camera and hopes to give it a better review than they did with the first version. The most important thing that has changed with the new model is its price – now $100 cheaper.

The new FujiFilm FinePix Real 3D W3 has a number of new features that Hollister is only too pleased to point out, these include a 3.5-inch LCD display, HDMI 1.4 and 720p video recording. There are still a few features taken from the original W3, such as 3x zoom and its 10-megapixel CCD sensors.

Hollister was told that the W1 met sales expectations, but the W3 looks set to do much better than that. However, he believes that FujiFilm has not gone far enough with the features, which could affect sales numbers. Read the full review visit Engadget.
