Early into your Forza 4 career you wont have many credits, so the last thing you want to do is waste your money on a car which struggles to keep up with the competition, if you have 10,000 credits you should check out the Acura RSX Type-S – it’s a great all-rounder. Soon you will begin to notice it is no match for the competition, obviously you could spend credits on upgrades, but we recommend going as far as you can to save up your credits, obviously this is our suggestion and by no means the ultimate strategy but we recommend saving 26K credits and then buying the BMW 2003 M5.

Soon into your career you will have enough credits to ensure that one poor purchase won’t ruin your career, so the best thing to do is buy something which suits your driving style and then upgrading it as your continue your journey, as usual there are lots of good basic models to start with, but we think that you will do well to better the TVR Tuscan S.

Once you consider yourself a Forza 4 pro, the credits will come in quicker than you can spend them, so what car should you save for? Well if you check out NowGamer you can see the game’s top 10 cars, apparently the Peugeot Matmut-Oreca 908 is the best in the game, but it will set you back a whopping 2.5 million credits.

We are by no means Forza 4 experts, so feel free to share your opinions in the comments section below. Let us know which cars you have had success with and which upgrades to buy.

Obvious Xbox 720 release games and insight http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/09/15/obvious-xbox-720-release-games-and-insight/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/09/15/obvious-xbox-720-release-games-and-insight/#comments Thu, 15 Sep 2011 11:31:32 +0000 Jamie Pert http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=140402 Recently we read a post over at WolfsGamingBlog which told us that the latest issue of the Xbox World magazine, issue 109, claims that both Gears of War 4 and Forza 5 will be launch titles for the next-gen Xbox.

We aren’t sure how seriously to take this rumor, but both Gears of War and Forza have been huge franchises for the Xbox 360, therefore it would make sense to use such games to promote the launch of the Xbox 720 (or whatever Microsoft decide to call it). Apparently an extract from Xbox World magazine reads:

“what are id doing now Rage is about to ship? Doom 4, that’s what. Don’t expect it for this gen, though. It’ll be Xbox Next for sure. And what of Xbox Next? We, the Insider hears suits at Microsoft are already lining up the launch games – and they include two monsters: Gears of War 4 and Forza 5″

Now considering no official announcement has been made regarding Microsoft’s next console we must treat WolfsGamingBlog’s post as a rumor – but for the next paragraph or so we will imagine that it does turn out to be accurate, perhaps this will give us some insight regarding the next-gen console’s release date.

Epic Game’s released Gears of War in November 2006, Gears of War 2 in November 2008 and will release Gears of War 3 on September 20 this year – this shows they have a 2-3 year release cycle with games in this franchise, but developing a new launch game for a new platform could affect this quite dramatically. Firstly developing a game for a completely new console with better graphics than we have seen before is a daunting task and may take longer than usual, but knowing that GoW4 will be a launch title could spur on Epic Games to employ more staff and worked to tighter dealdines – who knows development may have already started. Our best guess is that Gears of War 4 will arrive in 2013, but this is based entirely on predictions and insight from previous release – let’s see if we Forza’s release cycle fits in with our prediction.

Turn 10 Studios released Forza 2 in May 2007, Forza 3 in October 2009 and Forza 4 is set for an October 2011 release. As you can see Team 10 tend to stick to a 2-year release cycle and this fits in with our Gears of War 4 release date prediction – again the next-gen console will no-doubt take some getting used to for the dev-team, but as it is a launch title we are sure that Turn 10 Studios will be up to the challenge.

So there you have it folks, if Forza 5 and Gears of War 4 turn out to be launch titles for the next-gen Xbox we think that the latter half of 2013 is a likely release date for the console – obviously this is very reliant on Xbox World Magazine’s statement, but it at least raises an interesting debate.

Do you think these two games will really be part of the next-gen console’s launch? Do you think late 2013 is at all likely? Let us know below.

Halo 4 Warthog in Forza 4, what other iconic vehicles should be added? http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/08/26/halo-4-warthog-in-forza-4-what-other-iconic-vehicles-should-be-added/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/08/26/halo-4-warthog-in-forza-4-what-other-iconic-vehicles-should-be-added/#comments Fri, 26 Aug 2011 11:43:28 +0000 Jamie Pert http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=139695 One feature which we are looking forward to when Forza 4 arrives later this year is called Autovista, this will allow you to use Kinect or your controller to explore vehicles inside and out and find out more details about certain features – we have now heard that a exciting vehicle from Halo 4 will make an appearance.

Yes, that’s right the ever-popular Warthog will show up in Forza 4, now before you get too excited please note that you will not be able to drive the Warthog in the game, however a well-hidden Easter Egg will let you take a closer look at Halo’s iconic battle jeep. We have embedded an images showing this below, you can see more image via this link.

When it comes to Halo vehicles the Warthog is considered as the fan favorite, with a machine gun mounted on the rear and four wheel steering it packs both firepower and maneuverability – it is just a shame that you won’t be able to unlock it as a playable vehicles as we remember Toca Touring Car Championship where a cheat could unlock a tank, this certainly added another dimension to the game.

When viewing the Warthog in Autovista mode you will hear narration from Halo’s central character Cortana, apparently she will talk about the vehicle’s prowess and tell stories – we are sure that this will interest hardcore Halo fans and we expect high levels of detail. We can confirm that when taking a look at the Warthog you will be able to open the door, sit in the driver’s seat, start it up and even pop-up the hood – it sounds awesome!

We think that it would be nice if other vehicles from popular games turned up in Autovista, obvious choices include the Batmobile, the Mako from Mass Effect and the Buggy from Final Fantasy VII – feel free to add your suggestions in the comments section below.
