With the announcement of the FIFA World Cup 2022 being held in Qatar, a lot of concerns were raised about how players were going to cope with the extreme weather conditions. The country is so hot that at one point splitting the games into quarters was considered for health reasons.

Other ideas that have been considered are the newly built stadiums will feature air conditioning. Today we bring you news of the most extreme solution that has come out of the discussions so far. The news comes from an article at The Peninsula.

The article reports that plans have been made to produce solar powered artificial clouds to cool some of the nine stadiums that will be used in the World Cup 2022. The design was developed by a team of engineers led by Mechanical and Industrial Engineering head at Qatar University Dr. Saud Abdul Ghani.

The ‘clouds’ will be a type of remote control aircraft or drone made from lightweight carbonic materials with four built in engines which get there power from the sun. They will hover high above the stadiums.

Find out more by clicking the link above where you will also find how much these clouds will cost. What do you think of the designs? Let us know in the comments below.
