Rentrak have just released details on the top 20 rented games of 2009, this list is dominated by Xbox 360 titles with a couple of Wii titles here and there, however there are absolutely no PS3 games in the list.

Rentrak apparently track “65,000 DVD, Blu-ray Disc and Video Game properties in the brick-and-mortar, online, and kiosk channels across North America.”, therefore rentals will vary in different countries.

The most rented game of 2009 according to Rentrak’s statistics was Fallout 3 for the Xbox 360, the second most popular game rental was UFC 2009 Undisputed again on the Xbox 360.

The third most popular rental was Call of Duty: World at War (Xbox 360), followed by Resident Evil 5 (Xbox 360) and Gears Of War 2 (Xbox 360).

The first non-Xbox 360 game to make this list was Mario Kart for the Nintendo Wii, this came in 9th place, the next Nintendo Wii game to make the list was Wii-Super Smash Bros. Brawl this game was 18th in the list.

Personally I find it very shocking that no PlayStation 3 games made this list, for more details check out JoyStiq.
