According to Nintendo-Universe.co.uk Codemasters has confirmed that as well as the three platforms F1 2010 hit last year F1 2011 is also being developed for Sony NGP and the Nintendo 3DS.

We had a look on the Codemasters website and couldn’t find any information confirming this, how quite a few other reputable websites have also reported this news so it looks pretty legitimate.

It is thought that like last year’s release F1 2011 will arrive late in the year, no date has been given, in fact all we can confirm is that if all goes to plan it should arrive in Q4 2011.

Despite last year’s game being a success it was not perfect, people reported problems with pitting and AI was questionable, Codemasters did addess most of the issues raised, hower some unforgiving gamers gave up waiting, let’s just hope Codemaster kept the majority of F1 2010 gamers on their side.

Hopefully more F1 2011 news will arrive soon, when it does we will be sure to keep you posted. How do you think that F1 2011 should differ from F1 2010?

Ferrari World Park Opening: Abu Dhabi’s World Firsts http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/11/02/ferrari-world-park-opening-abu-dhabis-world-firsts/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/11/02/ferrari-world-park-opening-abu-dhabis-world-firsts/#comments Tue, 02 Nov 2010 17:27:36 +0000 Peter Chubb http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=112494 Abu Dhabi will be remembered for two things in November, the title decider for the 2010 F1 drivers’ championship, and the grand opening of Ferrari World. This is the largest theme park of its kind, and has a few world firsts that will keep fans amused.

You do not have to be a motorsports fan to appreciate the park; thrill seekers will love it too. So why has Ferrari World been casing such a stir? Well having the fastest rollercoaster and the largest Prancing Horse Emblem has something to do with it – just imagine how popular such a park would be in Italy – the Tifosi would love it?

The park will officially open its doors on November 4, 2010 and covers an area of 2,200,000 square foot. Do not worry about getting hot in Abu Dhabi, as this is an indoor park; they do not do anything by half’s there.

There are 20 rides in all, one being that rollercoaster that hits 150mph and a 4D fantasy ride Speed of Magic. According to Cars For Stars, the park can accommodate 10,000 visitors – wonder how many of those will stay on until the 14th to watch the final F1 race of the season?

F1 2010: PS3 Patch Update is Live – Problems Fixed after Download? http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/11/01/f1-2010-ps3-patch-update-is-live-problems-fixed-after-download/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/11/01/f1-2010-ps3-patch-update-is-live-problems-fixed-after-download/#comments Mon, 01 Nov 2010 10:00:14 +0000 Alan Ng http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=112278 We have some good news for those of you who have the PS3 version of Codemaster’s F1 2010, as the company has now announced that the long awaited patch update for the game is now live.

As reported from VG247, the patch update should be available the next time you boot the game up, and it will fix most of the crippling bugs which have been frustrating users ever since it’s release a few weeks ago.

Aside from the general bug fixes, the patch update will address the main problem involving corrupt game saves which in some cases freeze up the game completely.

Codemasters has not released a change log with the recent update, probably since they don’t need to. An old forum post details all the information which informs you what will be fixed in this update.

Install it now and let us know how your game handles afterwards.

F1 2010 Patch Update: Download In Submission Stage http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/10/26/f1-2010-patch-update-download-in-submission-stage/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/10/26/f1-2010-patch-update-download-in-submission-stage/#comments Tue, 26 Oct 2010 13:45:19 +0000 Peter Chubb http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=111905 From the moment I got my copy of F1 2010 for the PS3 there were a number of issues, this was the same for Xbox 360 owners as well. However, Codemasters has finalized their patch and is now in the process of submission before they can release it for download.

It is not just one or two issues, but a host of them. These include game save issues, freezing and other bugs. One of the problems that has become a pain is coming into the pits. If you go in when instructed, you will find that everyone comes in and you have to wait for about 10 seconds before the pit crew can release you.

According to GamerZines, Microsoft and Sony will now have to work with the developer to approve the submission. Let us hope that this will be soon, as I have stopped playing the game until these problems get resolved.

I am one of the lucky ones; some owners of F1 2010 have not been able to install the game – my brother being one of them. In a game that has been years in the making you would not have thought that there would not be any errors. Let us hope that Gran Turismo does not have the same kind of issues.

As reported from Eurogamer, the patch update will specifically combat issues involving corrupt game saves which affects all three platforms of the game.

As far we know, this isn’t a widespread problem, since we’ve had some reports from you that your game save is fine. However, Codemasters has specifically pinpointed a few reasons which could trigger a corrupt game save – find out more details on that on the official forum here.

It is nice to see the team addressing the problem so soon after launch, which is sure to please a lot of frustrated racers out there for sure! Let us know your thoughts on this, particularly if you have experienced any problems wih the game.

F1 2010 Problems: Freezing, Bugs and Errors – PS3, Xbox 360, PC http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/09/26/f1-2010-problems-freezing-bugs-and-errors-ps3-xbox-360-pc/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/09/26/f1-2010-problems-freezing-bugs-and-errors-ps3-xbox-360-pc/#comments Sun, 26 Sep 2010 16:55:58 +0000 Gary Johnson http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=109499 Codemasters released F1 2010 a couple of days ago to much fan fare, but it seems all is not well with the game as we are hearing of some bugs and errors being discovered.

Iain of Thegamingreview is asking was the game rushed by Codemasters, and with elongated pit stops and AI drivers not pitting at all, is not really a good thing. There has been reports of some people having frequent freezing and locking up on the Xbox 360. Users of all formats are reporting corrupt saved data.

Another problem on all formats is the race results not portraying actual results, and damage having no effect on AI or user cars. There seems to be problems over grip with reports of having loads even in the wet. Nearly all of the problems reported are affecting all formats of the game, and is quite a long list so far. Use the link to see the full list of reported bugs.

Have you been playing F1? Did you notice any bugs or errors?

F1 2010 Graphics Surpasses Gran Turismo 5 http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/08/20/f1-2010-graphics-surpasses-gran-turismo-5/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/08/20/f1-2010-graphics-surpasses-gran-turismo-5/#comments Fri, 20 Aug 2010 08:14:50 +0000 Peter Chubb http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=106956 It is no secret that Gran Turismo 5 has been in the development stage since the release of the Sony PS3, so it comes as a shock to me to learn that the graphics on Codemasters’ F1 2010 surpasses what is meant to be the ultimate driving sim.

For those who do not believe me, then check out the video below of some new F1 2010 footage of what it is like to drive in wet conditions. Chris Shunk from Autoblog believes that the graphics in this new game is even better than DiRT 3, which we know is just awesome.

F1 2010 is due to be released next month, and it is no secret that I will be up early that day to get my hands on the new title. I have waited years for this new version, just a pity it will be just a couple of months before the end of the 2010 Formula 1 season – please let Lewis Hamilton or Jenson Button win.

While looking at the gameplay footage below, you will notice how lifelike it all is, and this will only look better once played on my Full HD LED TV. The footage is from the inside of a Mercedes F1 car, and you sit right behind the tail of Hamilton.

In celebration of Gran Turismo 5, Sony is to release a limited edition PS3 Slim, more details here. Do you think the graphics on F1 2010 is better than Gran Turismo 5?

F1 2010 Demo: Release Date Extinct on PS3, Xbox 360 – Codemasters http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/07/19/f1-2010-demo-release-date-extinct-on-ps3-xbox-360-codemasters/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/07/19/f1-2010-demo-release-date-extinct-on-ps3-xbox-360-codemasters/#comments Mon, 19 Jul 2010 06:28:44 +0000 Alan Ng http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=104785 We have some disappointing news for those of you planning to pick up F1 2010 on either the Xbox 360 or PS3 now, as developers Codemasters has confirmed that there will not be any demo release for the game.

As reported from VG247, Codemasters’ community manager Ian Webster revealed the bombshell in a message posted on the game’s official forums.

Here is the statement in full: “Due to the nature of the game, and its layers of licensed content, it will not be possible to make a cut-down, limited content sample that would serve as a demo for F1 in 2010 within our production deadlines.”

Since the game is due out in September, Codemasters said that it would take too long to provide a demo of the game within that timeframe, adding that too many ‘complexities’ are getting in the way.

It is still disappointing though, either way you look at it. Let us know your reaction to the news.

As well as in-game footage, you’ll also get some comments from a few members of the development team, including Anthony Davidson – last year’s test driver for Brawn GP.

So check it out below, and let us know your thoughts on it. The first screenshots are here too – just in case you missed them last time.
