With Deus Ex: Human Revolution set for a North American release later this month, August 23, you might be wondering whether this game is worth buying, well recently we found out that PCGamer has already reviewed the game and it resulted in a score of 94/100.

Currently the review has not gone public, however if you buy the next issue of the PC Gamer magazine which arrives on August 3 you will be able to see it in full, apparently it was awarded an Editor’s Choice award and a statement says that Deus Ex: Human Revolution is “A game that puts almost everything else in the genre to shame”.

Over the years there have only been a handful of games which PCGamer has scored higher than 94/100, these include Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Civilization II, Company of Heroes, Black & White, Far Cry, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. As you can see there is no shame in being less impressive than the aforementioned games, to put 94/100 into some context here are some other games which received the same score from PCGamer: Freedom Force, Deus Ex, Diablo II, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Baldur’s Gate, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Doom 3, Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, Empire Earth II, Battlefield 2, BioShock, Sid Meier’s Civilization IV, Far Cry 2, and Portal 2.

As you can see Deus Ex: Human Revolution seems to be joining an elite list of games, however we must remember that different critics may not be quite as fond of the game as PCGamer is, the best thing to do is buy the August 3 issue of the PCGamer magazine and check out the fully detailed eight-page review for yourself. As this is the first time a game in the series has hit PS3 and Xbox 360 we expect a massive improvement when compared to 2003′s Deus Ex: Invisible War and 2000′s Deus Ex, especially in terms of visuals and multiplayer elements. Also as it has been roughly 8 years since PC hardware got its hands on Invisible War it will be interesting to see just how good Human Revolution looks with DirectX 11, we can’t wait to see!

When a new game is expected it is often surrounded by a number of rumor and speculative guesses as to when the game will actually release. In the meantime screenshots and trailers are sought after and sometimes leaked.

The last three weeks have provided members of the Hitman Forum website with a trail of clues that have led to the discovery of the first official screenshot of the anticipated Hitman 5. The Hitman ARG also revealed clues that we will be finding out more information about the game at this year’s E3 which will occur in the summer.

The clues that the users had to figure out were as follows. The first clue was found on 14th of February. It revealed an apparently accidental discovery on a film festival catalogue by Acid Burn. The next clue was found February 25th. It was a message responding to an information request that revealed a possible date, game scripts and an incomplete Toronto phone number.

The next two clues included images, the first discovered on the March 3rd revealed the same incomplete number, coordinates and artworks. The second clue revealed a barcode confirming E3 speculation.

To see more details about the clues read the full article at Save & Quit where you will find an enlarged image of the first screenshot as well as a link to the Hitman Forum. What do you think of the image? Are you looking forward to a new Hitman game? Let us know in the comments below.
