As a recent article over at electrictheatre.co.uk reports, Tecmo Koei Europe has just released an official English language trailer, for those fans who live outside of Japan. The worldwide release of Dynasty Warriors 7 – which will be available for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 – is scheduled for March.

The Dynasty Warriors 7 game – which offers a huge overhaul of the mechanics that fans have seen in previous Dynasty Warriors titles – has not only added a brand new clan to the line-up, it will also be presented in stereoscopic 3D and feature online multiplayer gameplay.

According to Jim H over at thesixthaxis.com, new scans appear to have revealed that Lian Shi (aka Lady Blu) will be joining the Dynasty Warriors 7 roster when it launches. As you may be able to notice from the images (seen at thesixthaxis.com), Lian Shi’s weapon of choice appears to be a crossbow.

Tecmo Koei is hoping that the Dynasty Warriors 7 game is going to be a huge hit and to help it along a little; they have revealed plans for post launch DLC. According to Alex over on the gamepur.com website, the DLC will contain things such as costumes, weapons and much more.

According to Shui Ta over at examiner.com (where you can view a slideshow of the new screens), the newly-released screenshots are from the PlayStation 3 version of the game. Fans haven’t got too much of a wait until the game arrives, as it’s scheduled for a North American release in March 22nd.

The news doesn’t stop with the new screenshots either, as there now appears to be more details available. According to Jim Sterling over at destructoid.com, the Dynasty Warriors 7 game’s Chronicle Mode features both online and split-screen co-op play just in case you want to play with a mate.

Story Mode on the other hand appears to be single-player only. Characters will no longer boost their stats by gaining experience within battle, but boost them through items instead. Dynasty Warriors 7 won’t feature any “guest” characters from previous Warriors spin-offs or Tecmo titles either.

According to Shui Ta over at examiner.com (where you can view a slideshow of the new screens) Tecmo Koei Games has recently released another 31 screenshots for the Dynasty Warriors 7 game. I have to admit, I may not be a fan of games such as this, but they do look pretty awesome.

It’s not just new screenshots that fans have received news of recently either, as it appears that a few new characters have been revealed as well. As Jim H at thesixthaxis.com reports, the latest characters to be added to the vast list are Jia Xu and Xiahou Ba.

The Jia Xu character (a Wei advisor who originally served under Dong Zhuo) is said to come equipped with what appears to be a chain whip, while it is uncertain at this stage what weapon Xiahou Ba (the son of Wei general Xiahou Yuan) will be bringing into battle.

Although we knew these were just some of the games being released in 2011, we didn’t really know specific release dates for any of them. However, according to Brian Warmoth at multiplayerblog.mtv.com, the Dynasty Warriors 7 game has now been given an official North American release date.

North American gamers can look forward to the release of Dynasty Warriors 7 on March 22nd, while European gamers can look forward to receiving their copy a few days later on the 25th. PS3 owners will not only be able to take advantage of the game’s co-op play, but also its 3D and Move support.
