BioWare are keeping pretty quite as to what role Anders will play in DA2, all we do know is that players will discover him in Kirkwall after he abandons the Grey Wardens, you will need his help, but he will want something in return.

During your time with Anders you will encounter many twists and turns and find out some surprising secrets, you can see Anders in the image embedded below, I wonder if he will still be your friend by the time you finish Dragon Age 2, let’s not forget that he has previously left the Circle of Magi as well as the Grey Wardens, therefore his loyalty is certainly questionable.

Apparently if you check out the March issue of GameInformer more details regarding Anders’ role in the next Dragon Age installment will be revealed, if you check out this GameInformer article you can see a video showing Hawke and Anders working together in DA2.

BioWare’s executive producer Mark Darrah recently admitted that there are a few bugs affecting the DLC, one of which is a continuity bug affecting a minority or Origins players. There is also another bug regarding saved games and DLC completion.

At the moment BioWare are working hard to resolve these issues, here is an official statement from them “We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing anyone, we are doing everything we can to fix this in a timely manner so those who are affected can go back to enjoying Witch Hunt as soon as possible”.

In the new DLC, players are given access to the final chapter in the Dragon Age: Origins series, and possibly one of the most important questions in the game is finally answered.

What happened to Morrigan?

Origins players will be happy to know that they can import their characters from past DLC such as Awakening, as well as the option to create a new hero who will then go on to venture into new scenario’s and zones and face encounters with Ariane, the Dalish warrior.

The Witch Hunt teaser trailer can be found below, and will be released on September 7 for $7.00 (560 BioWare points) from the BioWare store, 560 Microsoft Points or $6.99 on PSN.

In Dragon Age 2, you take on the role of Hawke, a refugee, the survivor of the Blight, and the Champion of Kirkwall — as legend would have it. The new story takes place over a 10-year period, where you, the player will tell the tale via making choices, making allies and altogether making history. The good thing about this game is it all depends on how you play, which in turn will forge the story how you see fit.

EA & the designers for Dragon Age 2 have promised us that we will still have the elements that made Dragon Age: Origins enthralling, with a more “dynamic combat system,” improved graphics, and making the story one of the best known to man.

The last chapter of DLC will be called Witch Hunt, this will conclude the Origins story, expect to find out more about Morrigan the witch, BioWare suggests that “Her plans and her whereabouts have remained a mystery… until now.”

The DLC will cost you 560 Microsoft / BioWare points for the Xbox 360 and PC respectively, which is the equivalent of $7 (the price it will cost at the PlayStation Store).

As for a release date BioWare has stated that it will arrive on September 7th, which isn’t too far away. BioWare cleverly promote the DLC with this statement “Whether you seek answers, revenge, or reconciliation with your lost love, you may find more than you bargained for.”

The three add-ons that are on sale are The Awakening, for just 1600 Microsoft points (usually 2400), the Return to Ostagar is now only 240 Microsoft points (usually 2400), and the Warden’s Keep which is only 400 Microsoft points (usually 560).

If that’s not enough why not download Blood Dragon Red Avatar T-shirts which are available for both male and female Avatars for 40 Microsoft Points.

These deals are no doubt a clever way of raising interest for the recently released Golems of Amgarrak DLC for Origins, but still cheap DLC is always welcomed by me,

According to the official description this adventure is very challenging, in The Golems of Amgarrak you must uncover what has happened to a missing expedition who were travelling to the lost thaigs, you can either load up your character from Origins, or create a new, high-level hero.

If you want this DLC it is currently available from the Xbox Live Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points ($5), if you think this is a fair price you can add it to your 360′s download queue here, the download itself is 422MB.

As reported from VG247, you’ll find the full list of changes here. It is also worth pointing out that the patch update also affects those of you with the Awakening expansion pack for the game.

There are far too many updates to list them all, so you are better off reading the full list for yourself over at Bioware’s website. The company also confirm that the patch is now live on PC, and they have already submitted the patch to Sony and Microsoft for certification.

As reported from Destructoid, the pack will be released on May 18th, priced at 400 Microsoft Points. At the moment, this is Xbox 360 only, as there is no mention of this coming to the PS3 yet.

We don’t have any specific details on what the content will consist of – although since May 18th is not too far off, we should be hearing details from EA very soon.
